Steer Chelmsford

Put my car in for bodywork repairs and it only took 4 days to be repaired. When I got my car back, the work had been done to an excellent standard and the car looked good as new! The customer service was amazing, really helpful, informative and genuine. The member of staff that I dealt with mostly, was called Matt and he was extremely professional, friendly and kept me updated on the progress of the repairs throughout. The price I was quoted/paid was very reasonable, especially compared to some of the previous quotes I had been given. I would highly recommend this company.

My car has just been returned after body work repairs. An excellent job. It looks better than ever. They kept me informed of progress. Good communications and helpful friendly staff.

Having similar problems to some other reviewers. Phones not answered at Chelmsford branch or head office, and no courtesy car made available despite insurance entitlement - car has been with them 4 days now and no update on duration of repairs or when a courtesy car might be available.

Went to steer for some dents & scratches that needed fixing on my car, and after replacing the new bumper and fixing the dents on the side of my car, it literally looks brand new! Cannot thank the team at steer enough for what they have done as my car is back to looking new again! :) so so happy with the service, the team are also really lovely and so helpful! Would deffo recommend x

Steer have had my van off road for months on end. Working with Herts and the van hire company this repair has taken months. I have been paying the hire company 130 pounds a week for insurance and van hire. Basically the cost is so high I could have flown to any country and got the part myself.After the 1000 pound excess a fairly simple repair has cost me in the region of 2500 pounds with no replacement vehicle given.I've now gone and bought a van so I never need to rent again.This leads me to wonder do Steer work with the hire company to keep the vehicle off the road for as long as possible? As the insurer has chosen to use them I have no option. Every Monday I ring and they tell me the following Friday the work will be done but it never is.Now they don't even answer the phones.STEER clear at all costs.

Used steer following making a claim with admiral. They were so efficient & supplied me with a hire car whilst mine was being repaired. I had hire car delivered Wednesday and then my car was brought back Monday, the turnaround was brilliant as I work in the community so need my car for work purposes. There was a mistake on admirals behalf but Katie from Steer sorted this out for me, so I didn’t have to worry. Definitely would recommend using Steer again. Hopefully I won’t have to but if I do I’ll definitely be using them.

Steer carried out a small insurance body repair to my car. The work was done to a great standard, completed on schedule, and the car delivered back to my home. The staff were always courteous, and kept me informed throughout.

Thanks for great service. First-class job. Always kept me up to date regarding what was going on. Always on time and delivered the car back as if it wee new. Couldn’t be more delighted, especially during a very stressful time.

Had such a great experience using Steer Chelmsford, Hanbury Road. The communication was excellent, the service provided was excellent and I was kept in the loop continously about what stage the car was at. Would definitely recommend.
