Older than the pyramids and just as mysterious. Don't forget to check out the 2 satellite stone circles just down the road from the main one.

Callanish Stone Circle II
Callinish 2 Stone circle, is a must if you want to do all of the Callinish circles. There is some parking, near a derelict property. It's a short walk, but you can also walk from here to Callinish 3.

Stunning scenery around these mystical stones. Can be quite boggy depending which of the surrounding ones you visit.

Callanish Stone Circle II
Beautiful place to visit. There are 3 sites of the standing stones with the most popular and impressive being number 1 near the visitor centre. A small walk back along the road you come to number 2 (fewest stones) and finally number 3. Definitely worth visiting all three sites. We went in November so out of season and there was no one around. Highly recommended.

Smaller than the main ones but beautiful nonetheless. Less crowded and with quite breathtaking views (as all of Scotland really).

Simply amazing. There is parking close by and its a short walk up a hill, but it's stunning once you get there.

Callanish Stone Circle II
Amazing huge standing stones that you can walk amongst. Good history boards telling you what they know or can assume about the stones. We went in the evening so missed the visitors centre but was beautiful in the evening light.
