Ledbury Heritage Centre
One of two buildings in Ledbury that have survived from the Middle Ages (the other is Ledbury Council). In the building itself, the atmosphere of that time is well felt with a very low ceiling (~ 1.5 meters), before there was a school for priests (17th century), after which the building was almost never used. The building itself is located on the oldest street in Ledbury, if you walk upstairs, you can see a church that has been standing since the same time.

Ledbury Heritage Centre
Fascinating museum on the history of the wonderful ancient buildings In Ledbury. Very knowledgeable volunteers who were passionate about the history of the area. Went above and beyond to explain about some of the children who went to the old grammar school and what they became years after they left. History brought to life of the normal people who lived in the area in the 18th and 19th century. Situated up a stunning cobbled lane from the main road up to the church. A step back in time.

Ledbury Heritage Centre
A quick visit. A good potted history of the town. More to it than I thought. On hand was a helpful guide/volunteer. I especially liked the vista of shops in the main road with details of what they had been at various years in the past. Fascinating.

Ledbury Heritage Centre
A stroll up Church Lane is a walk through history, and right at the top is the Old Grammar School which houses the Heritage Centre, the perfect place to find out more about Ledbury's wealth of historic buildings.Recently updated displays outline the development of the town, and panoramas of the High Street and The Homend take you back in time, listing what all the shops and offices were right back to the 18th century.
