It is the UK's leading veterinary charity. It carries out more than 1 Million free vet consultations a year. Treatment is only available for people's pets who receives housing benefit or Council Tax Benefit. It also offers neutering vaccinations and microchipping at cost price. Pet owners are asked to make a contribution towards the cost of treatment of their pet . I highly recommend them .

Absolute disgrace pdsa huyton was treated like dirt from the vet who saw me and my dog was in distress and I had just undergone a heart procedure the day b4 and I was so stressed and worried about my dog, also when I collected her the day after the vet said go collect your refund we didn’t operated we just gave meds so your owed money back, so I asked for it as I borrowed money off my family members to pay for it, I’m very ill with multiple health issues and was struggling financially and I was turned away from kirkdale branch as I couldn’t pay, that’s why I had to got to huyton after i begged and borrowed the money, and few days later had a text saying I owe £900 and I have receipts showing how much it cost, for a charity that helps people with there pets, We’ll I’m so disgusted with the way I was treated and sent away with my distressed dog, absolutely disgrace

Rang up and asked if they delt with exotic pets such as bearded dragons and I was told to try the yellow pages, very rude and miserable sounding woman on the other end of the phone, won't be contacting them again

They only help lager swilling drug taking benefit scroungers. they dont help people who have been working outside europe on conservation projects who are not eligible for benefit as they have been outside of europe.

I think pdsa are very selective, I had my dog with the pdsa and after a couple of years they cancelled my direct debit of £7.50 and refused any pet care, I had a staffie whitch has never had a days illness in his life so we didn't cost them a peny. Now they are asking for donations. So who gets the money if not the pets

Used to be fantastic but now it is hopeless trying to get help by normal" means i.e. phoning them."

Absolutely appalling, no one answers the phones. Can't get an appointment to see a vet. When you are lucky to get an appointment in my experience I have had to wait 2 to 3 hours to see a vet. Then another hour to get the prescription.I have sent emails and they don't get answered can't get the manager to return calls. Not good when your pet is sick. The Croydon branch is awful.Really needs to be looked into as I can't believe every single time I go there is always an emergency. The Head Office is just as bad, I can never get through to someone. Telford has the head office and PDSA warehouse. But no hospital. Why?

I'm afraid it is the last time I will be giving to the PDSA I waited in all day for a collection, the driver called at around 4pm, he said his vehicle was full but I just think he couldn't be bothered, he said he would be back in an hour. Two hours later I rang PDSA at Southport, I think he had gone home and said nothing and left me waiting for him to come back. I vented my feelings and gave the stuff to a cancer charity.
