They've taken an extra payment from the initial agreed sum and I can't dispute it. 'That charge must have appeared after you called to arrange the direct debit' - Bad attitude on the phones too.

I forgot to pay my council tax because like everyone else who owes money to Scott and Co, I am a moron. As a company they are very helpful, they worked out an amount I could afford to pay every month, and have been very understanding and helpful if I have ever been struggling for cash. All you one star reviewers need to have a wee think about why you owe these guys money and stop slating them for just doing their job.

I hate having to give one star,should be a minus rating.I spoke to 3 different people in their office.They all gave me different information.Even their so called customer services gave me even more different information.I asked for basic stuff like how much i owed on Council tax.I was told it was all paid.The DD still came out and apparently we still owe over £2000 from 2016 onwards! Weve been paying for years and thought it was done.Absolute bandits.They have no idea what they're doing and how it affects peoples lives.And they need to get some training on how to speak to people on the phone,condescending isnt the word.Shambles of a company.Cant be trusted.

Imagine working for a company collecting debt. Kinda sad and pathetic.

I have a direct debit set up with them, supposed to be monthly. They have just gone and taken 2 lots of monthly payments in the space of a week. I literally can't believe they can do that without telling me. I have nothing now, that money in my account was for food to feed my family. So ill have to phone them to try and get my money back!! Disgrace. Also the fact they send men to your door and add extra money on just to say you have missed your payment is completely unacceptable. People are clearly struggling to manage to pay their bills and here are scott and co taking their chance to pray on us while we are at our lowest. I have cancer in my family it's been hard to manage the stress of this particular problem. At one point they threatened to have my partners wages arrested. It's all too much.

This is are joke Company, i was owned to council only around £210, after one week, They send me a letter, to i didnt pay, but i get my Money from work every month. Its a very bad service. Just asking for extra money, but its as well Council tax fault, i call to Them an speak about pay on last Day on The Month. They says to me its ok. I do not very recommended.

If you're looking for a Sheriff Officer to recover some debt or to serve a Charge Notice, go with Scott & Co. I went with them because they had the WORST possible rating on Google. Why? Because most of the folk who rated them badly are the ones sitting on the wrong side of the fence! The number of 1 star reviews is a testimony of their effectiveness in scaring the living daylights out of those who refuse to pay what they owe. Big shout out to Sheilagh Scott for providing valuable advice on the process of the Charge Notice. My claim was successful in the end. Highly recommended.

Terrible company. Set up a direct debit to begin paying off arrears of council tax. They took nothing for over 3 months. I tried for over a week to get in touch to no avail. Then got charged £100 for cancelling the direct debit. They can also go into your bank account and take money without you allowing it.Then when somebody got back to me they gave me a completely wrong figure of what i owed. So we had set up another direct debit under the impression that I would have this paid off by March only to receive a call telling us we owed a further £500. Incredibly unprofessional. It doesn't look as if anyone in the company has a clue what they are doing.I am amazed Glasgow city council contract these people.

Poor customer service mostly. Contacted via message service on their website and have not had any reply in 4 months. Often long wait times when calling with some (not all) unpleasant staff. Company as a whole need to take a good look at their policies as harassing and threatening people with mental illnesses really isn't any help to life expectancy. Thanks for nothing Scott & Co

Be careful making repayments, I urge you to call anytime you pay and request a new statement every month. According to Scott & Co if you pay them a week earlier than your expected payment date it will not count and they'll default your repayment plan. That's just what happened in my case anyway. This is an extremely shady company, be sure to keep a paper trail of everything.
