Fort Paull
Nice place to visit, but nothing special. To be honest the 6.5 pound entrance fee is kind of a ripoff, is not that good, maintained or interesting inside to ask for such a fee. (Max 5 would have been reasonable). Also you can not pay by card, had to search all the car for loose change to be let inside....

A wonderful, bizzare mix of tableaux and exhibits from world War Two, Henry the eight and a random assortment of medieval scenes. The place is falling to pieces and there is no wheelchair access and I wouldn't bring anyone infirm or who has mobility issues. But the ramshackle nature of the fort just adds to the experience. How they get public liability insurance is beyond me but I absolutely love this place!

We had a interesting time looking around the old fort. You got to know about the tudor times to ww11. Some of the steps are very steep so you have to be careful don't wear high heel like I did. I think its worth looking around if you are interested in militaria. It cost £6.50 to get in.

Very interesting place. Was quiet when we visited so had a leisurely walk round. The Blackburn Beverly is amazing. Will definitely visit again

Great family day out... lots of war memirials to see... tanks aircraft etc. Check out when the enactments are on... they take right back in time with full costumes ... craft displays etc... there is a very good cafe insude the fort. Well worth a visit.

Potentially such a great outdoor and indoor museum but sadly, so tired and in desperate need of renovation and modernisation. Can't pay on card for admission - only cash. Toilets are dire with no hot water and displays are falling to pieces. Such a shame as so much fun and fascinating exhibits on our doorstep.

Great little gem hidden away. They have everything from cannons to aircraft. They only take cash and have an adventure playground for kids. The embankments give great views of the south bank of the Humber.

Paid a visit for a battle reenactment and loved it. There is also a small museum structure to the place that has some very interesting information. The cafe does basic but tasty food. Certainly recommended.

Loved Fort Paull ,has lots of things to explore . It has a lot of steps so not be good for wheelchair access . Great history about different war times ,also the witch burning was good and liked king Henry the 8th. Enjoyed exploring the Beverley plane . Kids park and restaurant on site ,well worth a visit if your in the area

Interesting place, more 1960's in exhibt presentation, non-the-less interesting.Price - fine, see photoSmell - rooms and tunnels smelt damp, mothballs and fusty, I was not able to stay in.Accessibility - not really, steps up to the ramparts to view the Humber and mainly steps down into the tunnels. Ramps for the West Berlin Carriage and the Blackburn Beverly Plane, however access was narrow and the boarding very spongey, I would not want take a wheelchair up either and trust not to fall through or skin knuckles (for those self propelling) getting onto the ramps through the narrow openings. Otherwise, large grass area and paths to wander around.Ramparts - some views of the Humber, but trees are overgrown and block many of the viewsToilets - fine, the cubicles need to be a little cleaner. I tried the disabled loo and the outward opening door was heavy to open.Children - grassed adventure play area, nothing interactive.Website - I asked where the tearooms were as mentioned on the Website and was told 'Oh, they went three years ago'.Food - 'The Bar' basic menu, nice, but nothing for veggies. I had chips (cooked in oil in its own dedicated pan), I could have had an egg, one of my my friends did and the staff went outside to collect it from their own hens. The Bar Staff, very nice and helpful.Car Park - free and plenty of space and reasonably accessibleVisiting - I think take your pick, my second time there, but would go back if a visitor wanted to go...
