Car Park

What a joke! I've been going to Stanmer for over 40 yrs and appalled by car parks now charging to park! Firstly, my elderly parents don't own a smartphone so couldn't download the app to pay for parking. There was no pay machine either! Presumably Brighton Council raising revenue out of Covid as people have to meet families in a park. I spent over 10 minutes downloading the app to finally complete to pay! Really inconvenient. The car park is really poor too. Basically a section of land that hasn't changed in years. No tarmac and a very poor surface to drive on. Really slippery in the winter as basically mud and flint. Like many, I haven't seen my parents in months. They were very anxious about leaving the car due to getting a ticket and couldn't relax... thanks a bunch Brighton!!!!!!

Excellent parking, plenty of space and shady places to keep the sun out. Conveniently situated for walking around stanmer village and surrounding area.

My car seemed to like it but I don't really have an opinion about the car park. I do though object to having to pay a surcharge to pay by app. This is wrong and the fee should be included in the ticket price.

l would say that's it's very good prices and you can pick something up to go with something, l go there very often
