Staff at the Potting Shed are always so friendly and welcoming.Usually go for breakfast which is delicious, particularly the mushrooms but had lunch today and it was equally tasty.I’m always recommending your lovely cafe to others, thank you.

Lydia makes the most divine gluten free chocolate brownies. The potting shed is a feast on the eyes and the belly. I spent hours strolling around looking at the lovely gardens and plants. This place is gorgeous & a must see for any occasion

The Potting Shed Hyde
This was a last minute decision on a cold and wet November Sunday. The inside space was full so we braved it out in the poly tent with a few blankets from the car! It was cold but it was dry inside and there was a charm to the place which meant that we felt warm. It was also very kind of the staff to bring us free hot chocolates all round! We actually noticed that inside was noisy, hot and a bit smoky from the cooking, so we were perfectly happy in the tent.We all really enjoyed our food and between us we had tiger prawns, cow burger, rarebit and pie of the day. The chips/fries were a highlight, but it was all good and reasonably priced.Wherever I go I check out the cappuccino. This was good. I like the coffee strong and could take it stronger than was served here, but nonetheless, this was a good coffee.If I had any suggestions for the team it would be to fully enclose the polytent, put some throws/blankets out there and make full use of it!

Probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Great place to eat, very friendly staff with nice little shop next door! Returning for lunch tomorrow! Favourite cafe of our whole holiday in the New Forest!

The Potting Shed Hyde
We arrived at The Potting Shed today believing we had a booking for Afternoon Tea through Groupon. It transpired that we actually were due at The Potting Shed in New Milton but after being assisted by staff there to contact the other Potting Shed (& using their phone too to sort it) we decided to stay and enjoy Afternoon Tea with them instead. So glad we did! Delicious sandwiches all freshly made, huge scones perfectly baked with clotted cream and jam and four massive cakes…all scrumptious (although we needed to take home with us)!! Lots of fresh tea to wash it all down. Just perfect and a belated birthday pressie for a dear friend!It would appear many (like me) confuse the two Potting Sheds…take care when reviewing!! This Potting Shed has not disappointed us on previous visits either!

Our first visit here today - definitely won’t be the last! The food was delicious, the coffee strong & the toilets were clean! Everything I need in a lunch with my girls! I wish I’d photographed the food, but I was more interested in eating it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful place for breakfast and the cakes looked divine. Sadly, we weren’t able to sample the cakes due to the attitude of the senior member of staff.We arrived, sat down at an empty table, ordered our food and advised the senior member of staff (possibly owner?) that we were at table 500. She took the order (and our money of course) and we waited for our food and coffee. The coffee arrived and then some time after a member of the staff put ‘reserved’ signs on the two tables connected to ours and asked the people occupying the other end of the tables to move . We were not asked to move. Then a few of the eleven persons who had reserved the tables arrived and told us that there wouldn’t be room for us as they had pre booked their meals. There were no spare tables for us to move to so I said that we would move once one did become available. Unfortunately, our food arrived before there were any spare tables. At 11.27 (and I assume the table was reserved from11.30) whilst we were still eating, the senior member of staff (possibly owner) came over and, rather rudely in my opinion, told us that the table was reserved and tried to accuse us of sitting there knowing it was reserved. This could have been handled in a much more sympathetic way - I completely understand that mistakes happen and had the staff been up front with the issue at the start and helped us to find another table - we would have been totally accommodating but to actually accuse us of wrong doing is totally unacceptable.On a positive -the breakfast and coffee were lovely!

Great find - all the food and drinks were absolutely delightful (cow burger, dirty fries, sausage ciabatta, kids pizzas). Maybe slightly on the pricier side but the quality is superb so worth the extra. Kids loved running around in the gardens. Highly recommended
