Five Star Nails

5 Star Nails. This is such an amazing place to get your nails done, I love coming here. I’ve been coming here nearly 10 years now. The owner is so lovely and cheeky. As a gentleman she knows how to keep all her customers happy. I have to recommend to everyone to come and try this place.

I had shellac removal and they over buffed my nails and one of them even through the original nail to my nail bed!First the gentleman took a coarse nail file to buffer off the top layer before soaking into acetone, but he over buffed it that it went through the nail to the nail bed.When soaking in acetone solution, instead of wrapping it with cotton and foil, he just poured a big bowl of solution and asked me to soak my fingers in it. The solution penetrated through my broken nail and it started to burn.When I told them it’s hurting and he over buffed it, the lady said it’s just the colour and she’s going to buff it (again!) and I said no. She refused to believe they damaged my nail.The picture is showing day 1 and 2 of the nail and can clearly see fluid coming through the wound!

The name is hilarious considering it’s a one star nail shop, at a push. Tried this place twice now and both times have been terrible finished product and not what I asked for. Staff are rude and don’t listen to your requests and seem to openly talk about you and other customers during service. My gel toe nails lasted 1 day on holiday and all washed off, I’ve never had that before. Shame because the young girl who did the service was clearly on school holidays or a family friend and far too young to be in the salon working. Acrylics are hilarious, worst I’ve ever had. Would avoid at all costs.

Great nail salon, super quick and very precise nail art!

Worst nail experience I have ever had. See photos - look at wobbly lines from the second coat. Woman doing hands was rushing and not gentle at all. Pedicure cuticle work and filing is terrible too.First time visiting this salon and don't think I'll come back.

Have given so many chances and excuses over the years but once again so disappointed and today left without polish because it was so old and badly applied but had to pay full price, no apology no help with a new bottle or similar colour, no pride in their work whatsoeverThis business is barely adequate
