A proper traditional garage run by the owner. I've taken my cars there for the last 20 years, the price is reasonable and the job always well done. They use high quality parts which last and they never do unnecessary work. John and his team are happy to take the time to explain things in laymans terms, I've never been made to feel like I'm asking a silly question and they are super friendly too. I started going to Olive Green when I lived nearby, we have moved since then and I have tried garages closer to home but in the end I find the hour's round trip is worth it. Accurate estimate of cost and time for jobs. Reliable, knowledgeable and honest, highly recommend.

I've used this garage twice now for van repairs and both times I have been really impressed with their honest and professional service. From my experience, they will not quote or charge for unnecessary work and always do a good job. I would definitely recommend this garage to family and friends.

Great service and staff. I have been using this garage for years. they are very efficient and helpful. They have always been able to sort out any problems or faults with my cars. They are quick and good value, I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. All my family use them for services, repairs and MOT.

Excellent service and good prices. Last month, my car was juddering for no apparent reason and the lads found the problem and fixed it quickly and at a good price. Today I have had 4 new tyres fitted and am impressed again. Thank you.

Friendly, competitively priced and an excellent service provided!I used Olive Green Motors for many years until I gave up my car over 10 years ago. Now having a car again.... I am so glad I have returned to Olive Green and wish I had done it sooner!

Confusing & Very Disappointing! -I used to really rate this garage, until I asked them to sort out a newly bought old motorhome, asking them (in person & in writing) to provide a full service and to thoroughly check everything over & to fix and/or replace whatever needed fixing or replacing. I just wanted to get it checked out & up to scratch for a couple of years problem-free driving.In summary-Ignition system: They replaced the original distributor cap (as suggested) but with the wrong part - one that had misaligned lugs & so didn't fit properly(!) I found it literally crammed onto the rim of the distributor (stretching the clips) as it couldn't be seated correctly. They did change the spark plugs but left the old (pitted) rotor arm on (with the new wrong distributor) and said that they couldn't find any new HT leads to replace the (very) old ones (it took me a few clicks- now all replaced).Wheels & Brakes: Also they failed to notice a loose brake calliper (now tightened back on) & didn’t pick up a worn rear bearing (now replaced).Fuel system: They overlooked a perished fuel hose (which soon after split & is now fixed) and completely missed two 'ancient' in-line fuel filters- both dirty & in clear need of replacement.Electrics/Lighting: The garage also failed to notice that the nearside headlight surface mirror was completely deteriorated & the headlight was therefore failing to provide an adequate beam.Exhaust system: When I went to pick the vehicle up (assuming all the work had been done) one mechanic casually told me that the exhaust manifold was blowing, but it wouldn’t get worse, so it was best to leave it, then later another mechanic told me it would get worse, but that they didn’t want to do the work to fix it.Cooling system: The thing that prompted this review- the last straw.. (I had decided just to treat it all as a bad experience & move on).. was that as the outdoors temperature was due to drop below zero (and as the rest of the work seemed so sketchy), I thought I’d better just check the antifreeze/cooling system... & it’s a good job I checked! as it turns out that they had completely overlooked it!!. I couldn’t detect any antifreeze and it has just taken me 100+ litres of cold water to flush out the gunk & to fill up the system with antifreeze mix. I hadn't checked, I'd probably now be dealing with a whole lot of serious damage.I chose Olive Green because they had always seemed a strong bet & I deliberately gave them loads of time to do the work (3 weeks), thinking that having plenty of time would allow for a professional job done with a bit more thought & care- apparently I was wrong!

They've mot'd and repaired my car and motorhome for many years now. Everyone is very helpful and will always try to help me out with a problem

Outstanding service! Above and beyond, can’t thank the boys enough. With warning light displaying ‘31miles till unable to start’. The lad took the time to diagnose the fault and then clear the codes, dispute a very hectic schedule. 3 lads were able to work the following day.Thanks again Olive Green.
