The station museum is well worth a visit, and a decent coffee (not instant when they’re open during the day).I haven’t eaten there, but people looked happy enough whilst we were there.

The Station Master's House
An excellent find on the Wirral Circular Trail/Sustrans National Cycle Route 56. It’s currently (Oct2021) situated on the platform, but hopes to move indoors in the winter months. We stopped by for coffee and cakes after a long walk and were delighted with everything about the experience and the prices including sitting in the sunshine on the platform. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the drinks and cakes to a good standard. Alongside the opportunity to explore the adjacent and quaint railway station museum it was a wonderful experience.

Found this gorgeous Cafe after our walk along the Wirral Way. Cooked breakfasts were delicious, coffee the best we've had in ages (gingerbread Latte highly recommended!) and the staff were incredibly friendly. It was obviously popular so worth calling ahead but lovely bustling atmosphere and very dog friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Park at Fairy Gardens and walk along the disused railway path to the station (about 1.5 miles). A lovely peaceful walk! Dogs are welcome.The old station is very nostalgic, and full of memories for those of us of a certain age (!)Or park at the station, and just enjoy the atmosphere!

Stopped at the takeaway hatch walking The Wirral Way. I had a coffee and banana loaf both really nice. Great service, the lady who served me was really friendly and helpful when I asked about milk free things. My only complaint is being charged 50p more for soya milk which is quite a lot on top of the price of the coffee. Great little place to stop especially on a sunny day I could have stayed for hours

The Station Master's House
We only had a pot of tea but have given 4 starts to food as I'm sure its good. We had our dog with us and it was a great atmosphere, doggie friendly, water bowls everywhere and doggie ice cream. We chatted to the other people and had a good laugh. Friendly staff and impressed at the way they cleaned the tables as we were leaving.
