Duttons Divers - Hafan Marina Dive Centre

Had a brilliant boat dive with Jean and Zach today with my family. We were a bit tight for time for the second dive, but they were happy to give us the option for a second dive as over time and took us to a dive spot with lots of seals!They also brought us tea and biscuits which were greatly welcomed in between dives! Good fun team and a very cute doggy at the dive centre. Can't wait to go back again

My daughter started the kids club in the summer, which was a 5 days thing. After various incidents including coastguard being called out to rescue them. They were very late back and all the parents were worried. There was no way to contact them. And no one around to explain.Anyway they promised a refund, as last two days were cancelled.But after attempting to contact them multiple times by phone and email. Nothing!!!Seems a very poorly run business

A truly professional dive centre ran by Claire and her team. I completed the PADI Open Water Dive course with my friend going from beginner to super confident in a matter of days. The whole process of Claire's communication and calmness made it all the more enjoyable.Thank you!

Great experience with Dutton Divers doing our Advanced Open Water. Lukas was a fantastic instructor, all the kit was modern and high-quality - it helped we had great weather but I wouldn't think of doing training anywhere else in the UK.

Just completed the PADI Instructor Development Course with Clare and the team at Dutton Divers at Hafan Marina and Vivian Quarry. It was a fantastic course with some excellent teaching. Every day felt challenging and really interesting. The time just flew by and I learnt loads. Clare is very knowledgable and very good at teaching. Thank you!

Having qualified for PADI with Duttons Divers, my daughter went for a shore dive as a birthday gift. She thoroughly enjoyed her day and was well supported by Clare. Mia also took a few great pictures and is looking forward to her next dive later in the summer.

Had a an absolutely fantastic time snorkelling at Hafan Marina with Duttons Divers.We were taken out by Jean who not only made us feel totally comfortable in the water amongst the seals, but was also incredibly knowledgeable about the local marine wildlife and able to answer all of our (many) questions about everything from commercial fishing to conservation!We enjoyed the day so much we decided we want to take the Open Water course with Duttons, and Clare very kindly explained everything about the process and provided us with some great material to get us started.We felt so welcomed and learned so much from the day, it was a huge highlight of our trip to North Wales and we look forward to coming back soon!

We booked a 5 day course with their children's activity group during the summer holidays. The activities advertised on booking included 2 days of scuba activities, paddle boarding, snorkeling and a boat ride, plus a beach clean. We received the itinerary for the 5 days the day before the course began, which now only included 1 day of diving.The first 2 days ran as planned with a beach clean and then snorkeling. On the 3rd day they went for a boat ride. Unfortunately the boat broke down necessitating assistance from the RNLI and the coastguard. We only knew about this as our son phoned us from the boat using his own phone, there was no communication at all from Duttons Divers, and they arrived back on shore 2 hours late. We got an email late that night to say that day 4 was cancelled due to the boat not being fixed and that a refund would be offered for that day. We turned up for day 5 and no staff turned up. We made numerous phone calls and sent emails to query what had happened, but we had no response. Our child's wetsuit and water gear was still at the centre from previous days also. We did not receive contact from Duttons Divers until the next day to say they would refund the 5th day also, and giving a 1 hour timeslot to collect our belongings. No apology for the poor experience or lack of communication. They informed that a member of staff had an accident on the way to work that morning. Whilst we feel for that staff member, surely there would have been more than just them due to work, so there should have been someone else to come to explain what had happened and open the centre for us to reclaim our belongings.We requested a full refund for the week, as the purpose behind booking a course with a diving company, which advised diving activities, was to try diving. Had the course been advertised as a beach clean, snorkeling and a boat trip at the price Duttons Divers were expecting us to have paid, we certainly would not have booked it. Duttons Divers refused our request for a full refund, and did not offer to make any alternative arrangements to do the missed activites (diving and paddleboarding) as per their own terms and conditions. Luckily we had paid by credit card, and were able to reclaim the money for the course that way. Our friend whose child also attended is still waiting for her promised 2 day refund 4 weeks after the course finished !Such a disappointing experience for our child, as this was supposed to be the highlight of the summer holidays . We lost out on more opportunities for activities too whilst waiting for a time when we could get the wetsuit back!In summary, horrendous communication and the worst customer service I have received from a company. With diving being such a potentally dangerous activity, communication should be paramount. I would not trust this company with my child, and cannot recommend them in any way.

Absolutly AWFUL experience this weekend with Clare & Duttons Divers.3 of us were booked for a full weekend of boat diving which we were really looking forward to. On our journey up to North Wales we received an email saying that the boat had broken down and that they were trying to get it fixed, but that it looked unlikely (however not categorically cancelling the dives). No phone call was received to discuss, and despite us emailing them back plus multiple phone calls, no response.We were outside their dive shop at 8.30am the following morning on the off chnace that they had managed to effect a repair and to see someone face to face, but no staff showed up at all (despite their opening hours of 10am) and no contact made until 1.30pm finally cancelling the dives and offering a refund. Still no apology made, and no phone call.We have now had a terse email conversation back and forth, but they are accepting no liability beyond refunding the dives......never mind the fact that the whole weekend has cost us over £500 in travel & accomodation.We are just absolutely disgusted with the miserable communication from Clare and Dutton Divers and their utterly unapologetic approach to this weekend's debacle. How they can run a business like this, we have no idea!If you're looking for diving in North Wales.....look elsewhere!EDIT - In response to their reply, they had said that they would refund the money for the dives (we never claimed that they didn't say that), but nothing received despite multiple emails......and STILL no phone call. Credit card claw back has been initiated, and as they are in breach of contract under the Consumer Rights Act, they are liable for costs incurred, for which a small claims court case is being processed. ABYSMAL!
