Co-op Food - Swallownest

Rubbish staff, unfriendly and you always feel they can’t be bothered to even make eye contact. I mainly use it to collect Amazon parcels, if the staff were friendly I’d be more inclined to shop there but always feel as if they’re spoiling for a fight, I’m great with my customers at Morrisons, they’re my bread and butter, I expect more , the security staff are always nice but the rest of them need to appreciate they only have jobs because we shop there

Good sized supermarket with a decent amount of parking spaces. Good produce but the Co-op is not a cheap place to shop unfortunately.

Staff seemed rude when there self serve was not allowing me to pay with cash.. soon as she came and did whatever and it worked she acted like I should have known what to do... Sorry love we don't all have coop till training and a I'd card that lets us into the authorised system... Althou if you would kindly like to donate I'd appreciate to adjust the price also to a reasonable price

Convenient due to location and free parking. They get their prices wrong almost every week so checking the receipt is a must. When pointing out that the product scanned wrong and is advertised at a cheaper price they'd refund and apologise every time.I remember once mentioning that the baguette was quite oven-baked to a girl at the till just to be told is was my fault I've come so league in the day.... Really?!Overpriced on most products but I guess you pay for convenience. It's still cheaper than paying for petrol and getting it cheaper elsewhere.

Always friendly, prices could do with tweaking down in view of latest budget supermarket opening nearby & stocks of fruit & veg need to be kept up. They do some lovely foods & wouldn't want to see them go!!!

Only one person on the checkout there are 6 in all, what ever time of day you seem to always have to wait. Shop/products good clean bright let down by till service.

My local CO-OP, in swallownest as been a life line, since I had an accident and my mobility is now poor!!. The staff have also been very supportive with me, getting me a trolley or picking up my crutches when I've drop them, when I'm trying to juggle shopping, crutches, handbag etc. Also with it been local to me its helped me maintain my independence a bit more and to reduce leaning on my amazing neighbour's to much!.

This place has really gone downhill over the past few months. The self serve machines that you are obliged to use (as there is only one member of staff at the counter) have always played up ('please remove last item' repeatedly coming up for no reason), but at least someone used to come and fix it after a short wait. The last few times I have had this problem, I have basically been ignored (with the light left flashing for 10 minutes), and I have had to pick up all my packed bags, shift them to a new machine, and unpack them and start again! Oh, and that's not forgetting the time when an attendant finally arrived (gentleman who often stocks shelves), looking angry and blaming the problem on me (no apology for the ridiculously long wait!). This coop are going to really have to buck their ideas up, if they want to keep loyal, regular customers who make substantial shops here. I think a lot will vote with their feet once the new Lidl are up and running!! The only exception is the security guard, who is fantastic and very respectful!

Reasonable selection for a small supermarket. Often expensive compared to bigger retailers unless you get lucky with offers. Friendly staff, but feels a little neglected compared to other stores.
