American Candy Shop

Bit of a novetly shop, stands out amongst the London gift shops but also a little confused selling american imports and London gifts like the 5 others around it. Candy is pretty pricey but its what you would expect for a shop based on american imports, would be a candy heaven for any lover of sweet treats

The sweet shop does sell some unique products such as the gold fish however, this store is in violation The consumer approval order 2005 most noticeable section 2.2 incomplete information. The information is incomplete due to the absent of prices on the products therefore, providing consumers a absent of information that will be able to provide a inform purchase. This shop is wildly expensive two small packs of gum £10.

A huge intresting variety of American candy and products on display, shame they were too pricey for my budget.

Tourist trap. Conviently the items you wouldn't expect to be expensive aren't priced so you'll be shocked at the till. Massive markups compared to the online stores.

All you need to search on google is the scandals going on with these companies and Westminster council. Basically a money laundering operation where the owners can’t be tracked to pay Westminster council their rates. I’d happily review every one of these shops as it’s the same owner, same story. Hopefully they get shut down soon cause that’s what they deserve for ripping people off

Overpriced American snacks. Let me explain.The shop has a very nice view of each product they are selling but some of the price tags are removed from the item which leads you to guess how much it is.I came in with a friend to purchase some takis or Cheetos and we saw that one of the bag was missed priced (£7 for the big bag) we asked how much it was and they scanned it and said it was £14 for a big bag of takis and I was shocked *considering that there used to be another shop that sold American snacks and the pricing was around £5/6 for a big bag of Cheetos or takis, unfortunately they are not there anymore*I have never again, set my foot in that shop again.

Ripp off, tourist trap. Extremely expensive comparing with another American or International shops. They don't put the price in most of the products. I asked to the staff of the till how much was a cheeto's Flaming hot and told me about £7. A small pack of Takis for £4 I was so shocked that even he could see my white open mouth face. He added 'American - imported' smiling , freshly. Excuse me?? If you buy online on Americanfizz or sosweet is not as overpriced as them. I just aware to visitors that prices are not written most of the time and if the buy and go straight to the till they will be shocked for the extreme high prices.

If you love American candy you will love this shop. Not really in keeping with historical Canterbury but they have pretty hanging baskets.

I recently visited an American candy shop in the Canterbury on the weekend trip and unfortunately, I was disappointed with my experience. While I was excited to indulge in some classic American treats, I found the prices to be extremely high for what was offered. Additionally, the customer service left a lot to be desired, with staff seeming disinterested and unhelpful.Although the selection of candy was impressive, the quality did not seem to justify the steep prices. I also noticed that many of the items were available for much lower prices at other stores or online retailers.Overall, while the novelty of the American candy shop was initially appealing, I would not recommend it due to the high prices and poor customer service. It is possible to find the same or similar products elsewhere for a more reasonable cost and with better service.
