Massive B&Q! Recently had a great experience here, the staff are really friendly and helpful. This place has pretty much everything that you need! Christian in the Kitchen department really went out of his way to help us, he found everything that we needed within a matter of minutes! The toilets in the cafe could be cleaner, but thats just me nit-picking.

Marky Mark was so helpful today when visiting the store. I was unable to carry/push the shopping trolly with 3 bags of heavy compost with my little baby. Mark assisted straight away, nothing was a problem which made the trip enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Normally I go in and get what I want and straight out again, today I needed a little advice/help, well that's easier said than done. I was passed three times to another member of staff, eventually I was told to go to the timber saw area to advise me on my door fittings. I stood for 30 minutes in the queue, I get that they were busy, but surely there is someone else who is more readily available who can advise me?? I gave up and assume I can return items if incorrect. I went to the checkout self serve area to buy my goods, I used my b&q loyalty card, it asked for my details, the assistant came over, cleared off what I had typed and used her staff card and trotted off, I tried to explain what I was doing, but she wasn't particularly interested. I thought she had sorted the screen and I paid, turns out she had cancelled my loyalty card transaction, so no points received for my £65 worth of goods. I queried this and was made to feel like I was being a bit petty for wanting the points. Eventually I was told I could queue and have a refund and recharge ... after 30 minutes at the wood cutting area?, no thanks! So B&Q, although this is just one visit, I feel let down and inclined to find another, more helpful and knowledgeable establishment for my DIY bits, just in case I need a little advice. Also somewhere who doesn't make the customer feel bad for wanting their points, after all, that's why I have the card!

Went to B&Q Poole today and purchased some garden furniture which was on clearance as the set was missing a chair. When loading it into the car the seat cushion fell off and we noticed that there was sick or something equally utterly disgusting on the underside of one of the cushions. I immediately went straight back in and spoke to customer services and asked if they could replace that cushion as it was disgusting and I didn't want to touch it or take it home and it is still a current product. I was advised that as it was on clearance it was sold as seen" and helpfully told me it looked like pigeon poo not sick!!. I am not sure in what world this is satisfactory. I left it with them

I went to B&Q yesterday afternoon, on the 17th of November, to purchase chair leg caps for my folding chair. Since four of the leg caps on my folding chair were broken, I was concerned that continued use could potentially damage the carpet over time. Feeling a bit lost at B&Q, unsure of how to find the right size for the chair leg caps, I approached a security guard who happened to be passing by. He was incredibly helpful and escorted me to his colleague, Jasmine.Jasmine, upon seeing the broken part of my chair leg cap, promptly measured it and identified the correct size of rubber leg caps for my needs. Throughout my visit, she was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I am genuinely grateful for the assistance provided by both the security guard and Jasmine during my visit. I am delighted to report that the rubber leg caps are indeed the right size, allowing me to use my folding chair without worrying about further damage to the carpet.I must commend the staff at B&Q in the Poole Branch for consistently being very helpful and friendly. Thank you very much for the excellent customer service and care!

Brilliant staff. The store was immaculately laid out and very clean. We had lunch in the cafe and the young lady was very helpful, the food was good and once again, very clean.

Sometimes these stores are essential, sometimes they are a mess and this one always seems to fit between the two!The aisles are too narrow, so every time you stand choosing something, you have to move out of the way a dozen times. I suppose that shows there’s lots of customers (perhaps too many). One of the things that makes it worse is the store layout, which makes you walk into the middle of the store to get to the checkouts. Then of course many of the staff don’t know or can’t help.......The little details are often missing, trying to fins screws was a nightmare as they’re all mixed up (and many missing). Add that to the problem of narrow aisles and you’re screwed (sorry, had to say it).And toilets.... Other places manage to keep them open without blaming covid, why cant you?So, avoid if you possibly can. But it will probably have what you need in there somewhere. And finally, nothing to do with this store but it makes me smile..God walks into a DIY store in looking for an ornamental well for the garden of Eden. Not sure where to look, he walks up to a cashier for directions...Before god says a word, the cashier recognises him and says well

Staff stand in groups chatting whilst large queues grow at the tills. Hiding behind the ability for customers to checkout using self service. Counted over 12 staff in total watching or nearby to the 2-3 working the tills. When asked to open more tills, get addressed abruptly - more like a member of staff as opposed to as a customer. The excuse that no staff were available! Supervising / senior staff seem to think it is OK to be rude and sarcastic to customers, gone are the days of customer service. Probably the worst supervisors I have ever encountered - complete disregard for customer care. Standing around by the tills in numbers chatting and watching, whilst queues grow and customers get frustrated - blocking aisles is never a good look - less sarcasm and more workers needed. This all followed needing a return some rubbish paint which was hard sold the previous day by a paint rep. If B&Q did not have sales reps in store - pushing rubbish products, I would not have needed to return the following day - like double glazing selling from the 90s - overall poor experiences.
