Loch House Farm Caravan Park

Just stayed for 2 nights in the yard which is hard standing with EHU. It’s a working farm, close to the motorway, so there is some traffic noise but it’s barely noticeable in the yard and quietens at night. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay with the added bonus of cooked breakfasts available each morning due to Party at the Palace taking place. The swallows nesting in the barn and the gorgeous farm dogs added to the experience, which we found very relaxing. There’s a large field for campers if you don’t want EHU, so plenty of space and the owners had arranged for a temporary shower cubicle to be brought on site due to the extra campers this weekend. The ladies toilet block was clean and well equipped with plenty of hot water and toiletries. There are some chipped tiles on the floor and flaky paint, plus only 1 permanent shower cubicle but this is a campsite on a working farm as I’ve said, and it’s clean and functional. Dot (the owner) was lovely - nothing was too much trouble, such a friendly, smiley lady.We would definitely like to stay at this campsite again - it’s ideally situated for walking around the loch and into the town. Not very clean facilities25 quid i thought was steep as we were right next to a motorway

I stayed here in July. I loved it. Yes it's next to a motorway but for £15 per night 20 minutes outside Edinburgh I don't know what people are expecting. It's also a working farm, which I loved. We asked where we could take our dogs and we're given to use an entire field that wasn't in use at the time. We stayed here for a week we'll definitely be back

Very friendly host Dorothy. We were able to purchase breakfast rolls but we went for full breakfast for 6 items and a roll £6.00 amazing value . Well done to the lady and her daughter who made brekfast .

fantastic location, some very good eating places, and public houses, reliable local taxi service, public transport 2min walk from the site, 15mins to 20mins walk to the train station, in Edinburgh in about 30mins, Glasgow about 40mins, walk along the loch absolutely stunning views of the palace,

Yes it's next to the M9 and a bit noisy. But apart from that a fantastic place to stay. We have 3 dogs and we were welcomed and shown a great spot to walk with them. The facilities are basic but adequate. Anytime there has been mess it's because someone hasn't tidied up after themselves. Imagine having a shave and not washing away your stuble? Great access to Edinburgh and Glasgow and linthithgo is a fabulous wee town to visit too. I would highly recommend this place to travellers who don't mind it a bit ruff and ready. It is a working farm after all. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here thank you
