Friendly and helpful staff. A family friendly site both for camping and fishing. The food in the cafe is excellent and a good variety of drinks in the bar. Friday and Saturday nights is great for rock and roll bingo in the marquee with a variety of different acts too.

The food was pleasant enough but pricey. The service was very slow, over an hour for 3 burgers (we were the only customers in) as the single member of staff was too busy doing take out food. The cafe is also very cold.

Great campsite, greaf facilties with a cool little cafe and marquee bar area. There's also playpark for the kiddies right outside so you can keep your eye on them! Menu choices are great and not bad pricewise, with the added bonus of ace customer service!!!

Stayed Feb 17. Rather over-priced to be honest. Most of the loo facilities out of action. Fair amount of road noise. Flat gravel area to park the caravan on and friendly welcome. Cafe facilities not open in off season.

The site is very picturesque and is an excellent spot for fishing. The cafe is excellent serving great food at very reasonable prices. However there are downsides. The toilet and shower facilities are awful. Hardly any of the toilets have toilet paper in them and they could all do with a good clean. The only decent ones are in a key coded toilet and shower block which are nearly always locked and hardly anyone knows the code!!!! 'However if you used the sink the water was so powerful you got drenched! As for the showers!! Oh my word. Again the only decent ones are in the locked shower block. Thank goodness someone was coming out so we could get in! The other showers were double ones in one room! How ridiculous! Are we expected to shower with strangers? AND we are expected to pay extra for the privilege! At the far end of the site there is only one ladies toilet but two men's. I don't think the owners have done their research. Also we couldn't find any drinking water taps anywhere. The reception was hardly ever open so we couldn't ask them. What a shame. This could be a great site but the toilet and shower facilities really let it down. Sorry I don't think we'll be coming back.

Me and my partner simply love this place. We first came in June 2014, and come at least twice a month now. Its magical lakeside view when we were camping was breathtaking, and it has amazing surroundings. Seriously people, try this place and you wont be disappointed. Clean, spacious, and the Marquee where the bar is situated is lovely. Number one campsite to us...... Shaun and Suzanne
