Really cosy, friendly pub in Uppingham. Right next to Indian restaurant. Excellent selection of flavoured gins. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Recommended.

The latest in my quest to have a pint at the highest hostelry in every county. Popped in for a pint yesterday at the end of a climb up from Eyebrook Reservoir. This by my reckoning is the highest pub in Rutland at a magnificent 152m.A nice pub, with a warm welcome, serving fine beer including the local Inclined Plane" (Langton Brewery)."
