Hickory Dickory's Playhouse

This playhouse was great for our 16 month old boy.They have a wide variety of soft play ranging from babies to bigger kids. The different aged group soft play are also in different areas so we didn't feel the need to constantly worry about older kids running around our little boy.Food & drink from the cafe is reasonably priced but be aware they only accept card payments.There are limited tables and chairs available which some as a first come first serve basis. People do tend to place their belongings on the chairs then go into the soft play to 'reserve' the seating which can be frustrating.I highly recommend booking in advance. We booked online and when we arrived we were able to skip a queue of around 7-10 people who were having to wait for people to leave as they were paying at the door.The car park is small for the amount of people the centre can hold but we did notice some cars were parked on the street just outside of the car park in case you're struggling to find parking in the centre.

Dated worn out and in need of an update. Clean but very expensive for what you get. Plenty of more up to date soft-plays out there. I think the photo sums it up. That been said the staff were friendly and the cafe was a good value.

Not a brilliant experience. Dirty, expensive and past it's best. Couldn't believe that not only was it over £7 for a toddler, £1 for an adult, they charged me £1 to book me in" on their laptop because I hadn't booked online...all they did was take my name! Won't be going again unfortunately!"

Charges parents to stay come in.Could only pay online to get in.Looks run down.Slide was so sticky kids had to push themselves down.No soap in the toilet.

My daughter had lot of fun , has got soft play area for kids ,small play area for toddlers, there's a cafe as well. Good parking and restrooms available. They've got separate rooms for birthdays celebrations/ parties.

I'd read alot of bad reviews about hickory dickorys in Derby, about children getting injured and things so was abit skeptical about going.I've been twice now and I think the place is great.I've only been during the week and it's always been dead, which is nice as it means my little one got to go on everything and have a crawl about without getting trampled on.I can see tho how it would be abit manic if it was busy - but like all soft plays if your just sitting having a chat and not watching your children & they get injured- what do you expect! You can't blame the soft play for your lack of attention.We ordered some food and it was lovely - again I read really bad comments about the food, but our was very nice.The staff were also welcoming & friendly.The only negative I would have is that adults get charged to go in too - its only £1 but I do think its unnecessary.But I'm glad I decided to ignore the reviews as it's a great soft play, i'll definitely be making it a weekly visit.

It's a nice place but I do feel there wasnt enough equipment for under 2 and the staff were awful. Barely cracked a smile or even acknowledge my child. It was clean and didn't smell like a lot of other soft play centres. I would return as my 10 month old did enjoy it

Had great fun today. Parking was bad but there were a few parties.

We visited without booking and turned up on a weekday after 3.30pm as it was opening and found the staff to be attentive, environment and soft play clean and working order. The cafe was good value, too. Deceptively spacious soft play area and ample sitting area for adults. Toilets, tables, high chairs were spotless too.

A great place to take the kids, one of the larger soft play places in the area and plenty to do. Free parking and great for birthday parties. My son loves coming here from a young age he's always had something to do and play with. I usually buy tickets online in advance.
