Congleton Paddling Pool

Booking system is terrible. Only have my 6 year old nephew one day during half term. Been trying all week to get Tuesday morning slot. On waitlist twice and as soon as I received email saying slot had become available immediately jumped onto site but no luck. Sad for nephew but Castaway instead

Returned here today for first time in years. As promised, I'm leaving a positive review. Pool was clean and enjoyable. It was busy but it would have been way busier if not for booking system.We managed to book for our group without difficulty.The staff there were helpful and friendly.Parking is a little tricky...But we eventually found spaces. It's free and we're grateful.

Very clean outdoor paddling pool,Free, but must be pre-booked online

All you have to do is book online via congleton town council and you get a 3 hour slot.It's about 60' in diameter and at its deepest it's just under knee deep to an adult, it's clean and safe for the kids. Best part, it's free.There are no refreshments on site, you can bring your own though.The only amenities on site are a toilet and some bins and 7 benches, there is space to lay out a towel and lounge in the sun though.

Very clean, not over crowded (not sure if that was due to no shows) kids loved it

Really enjoyed our visit to congleton pool today with my 18month old. Not too deep either and plenty of shaded spots.

Online bookings only that are often full for 140 people well in advance but still lots of no shows. I went when there where less than a 100 show and they still couldn't let us in. Seems a waste of resources when the council haven't imposed rules to prevent this happening.

The pool does not get cleaned often, so you can usually see all sorts of rubbish inside. I wouldn't recommend making your child come here.

Pool looks amazing and heard how fab it is , after several attempts to put our names on the waiting list, I last got emails at 10pm to say slots had became available I had my phone in my hand so acted immediately and when I got through still had no joy of being able to get tickets for 2 excited girls. Poor system , so many genuine people losing out due to others booking and not showing up . Whatever happened to allowing people to just turn up and have a fun day without the hassle of having make bookings for something that’s free

The pool itself is 5 stars without doubt. Unfortunately the booking system is horrendous. I managed to get tickets for me and my son after about a month of trying and there were maybe 50 people there the whole time ( 140 tickets were sold ) meaning almost 100 people didnt turn up. People book multiple slots on all days in advance and don't bother turning up, meaning many other parents cannot take their children and enjoy a pool that we pay extra in our council tax for. I have many fond memories of the pool from when I was a child in the 90s, and again when my oldest was little about 10 years ago but I cannot say the same about it now. The booking system has ruined this pastime for many parents
