Best almond croissants I've ever had

The best prefect and fresh croissants, crispy on the outside and soft butteriness on the inside, amazing size. Also the best variety of baked goods I have seen (that isn't in a major city especially) cakes are refreshingly different to the usual flavours that are everywhere else and so delicious. Coffee is brilliant too. I just found there was too much chocolate in my croissant which is not a complaint if you are a big chocolate fan and it was really good quality chocolate! Staff so friendly and nice. Went back twice in the same week and can't wait for my next baked perfection from there

Made a quick detour to grab a coffee just now and so glad we did! Best coffee we’ve had all week, silky smooth milk (oat) and literally the best chocolate croissant we’ve ever had. We chose to share one - instant regret!

Some of the best pastries I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). Went here at least 3 times in a week and wish we had been able to go more! Daily struggle of what to choose was our biggest issue.Cinammon bun and vanilla bun were incredible and excellent value for money (pretty large!). The perfect balance of soft dough, crunchy outside, sweet balanced with butter content and all round delicious . Other pastries (croissant based) were well laminated and also tasty. Doughnuts were decent but the pastries were the highlight. Sourdough breads also really good. They supply local cafes so easy to find their goods elsewhere. Friendly service. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.

A small firm that has grown big, even though they opened around Covid. Unfortunately they need to understand that the customer service also needs to grow. Trying to support local and also save myself one small amount of stress ensuring the family has decent bread. Went in, spoke to a Lady and she said they could deliver as we were local, set up an order for each week, nothing to make anyone millionaires but still an order. Well I think in the near two months since I set this up not one order has been right! Either not delivered, wrong bread etc etc. I popped a note through the door for someone to call me, nothing. When I did get hold of someone it was basically my fault as I should never have been offered delivery. I think he might have apologised as I cut the call but he certainly didn’t seem too worried on the poor service when he was telling me all the reasons why it wasn’t their fault.

We used to buy our breakfast at the Butcher’s Bakehouse while we were spending a break in the local area last October.The setting and the ambience caught our attention while we were exploring the town on our first day. We were not disappointed when went in. Staff were cheerful and polite. There was great choice of bread as well as savoury and sweet pastries.We really loved the bun filled with cream and berries. Very rich. Delicious.

Food is amazingly good quality.. You could not get better anywhere else. A friendly welcome in a lovely town..

Super selection of treats, bread and pasties, good coffee, lovely staff. We're regulars.
