Cleveleymere Lakeside Lodges

3 of us stayed in Herons harbour lodge just for one night and the experience was great. Self check in was easy, warm and cosy on arrival and the owners we met on departure were friendly and helpful. Hopefully be back this time next year for a couple nights.

This was a birthday trip for my mum, with family. We looked all over the country for a treehouse lodge style accommodation, and this was one of the best we found - and a really good price too!We were super happy with the lodge - it definitely lived up to expectations from the photos online. It was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Plenty of towels, kitchenware and toiletries were provided, although we only got shampoo and conditioner, and no shower gel - so it's worth taking some.We stayed in The Tree House, which was set in a nice sized private area with room for a few cars too. We had our own jetty and firepit which was great fun, and it was really quiet and peaceful. We were not too far from the other lodges, but couldn't really see them through the trees and never heard any noise.The wider park area was a surprise - I didn't realise there were quite so many activities on site! There was a room with table football, drums and a piano (although it needed tuning!), table tennis, children's play areas, and some nice areas to walk and sit in little shelters overlooking the lake. Provided eggs were a nice touch, and staff were friendly and helpful.The forest of Bowland and some of the surrounding towns are really lovely. It was my first visit to this area and I was pleasantly surprised by just how beautiful Lancaster and surrounds are!Altogether a really perfect place to stay for seeing this area!

We stopped at Herons harbour for a week just a couple away for a relaxing break. It was in a beautiful area so tranquil peaceful private and ticked alot of boxes.The cabin was well equipped and comfy couches, loved the jacuzzi bath, enjoyed the wii, great to have netflix as we don't watch it at home. Loved feeding the ducks, swans and cygnets daily they would swim up for their offerings. I did take a variety of wild bird seed,nuts, sunflower seeds etc but it just seemed to attract the rats so we just went to aldi and bought a load of reduced priced bread instead.My only negative or criticism would have to be the flooring needs attention I tripped on it a few times and hurt my feet it's quite raised and uneven near to the breakfast bar & door to the bedrooms.Unfortunately for me I wouldn't stop again because of the spiders but that's just to be expected I guess in the rural countryside but it was like arachnophobia at night.But other than that we loved it

Fantastic location, a group of us booked Badger and Otter as they are next to each other.The lodges are very comfortable and well equipped. We are out mostly as there are some fabulous pubs all a short drive, but we did cook breakfast and the kitchen has everything you need.We took out the rowing boats, went kayaking and did several walks in the surrounding area.It was a fantastic long weekend and I could have easily stayed longer.

Stayed as a family over a weekend in October - the Tree House was wonderful! Well equipped, cozy and beautifully presented on the banks of the lake.Masses of grounds to explore with lots of quirky features to be found.Having our own boat for the duration was great fun!Would fully recommend a visit.

We loved our stay at Cleveleymere, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Being able to kayak every day from our own private jetty was brilliant. To just spend time immersed in nature was a fantastic experience, we loved the cheeky ducks and friendly goose calling every day for some food, I can't praise the site highly enough. Thankyou for making our time st Cleveleymere so special. We can't wait to come back.

A truly beautiful and unique place, the location is fantastic and just private enough. The staff were so friendly and lovely. The furnishings and interior of the lodge was beautiful too, it perfectly complimented the surroundings. The ducks and swans were so funny too.

The location was lovely, and we had a good time. It was one of the best experience we had, and our little one enjoyed a lot. Looking forward to visit again during summer time.
