Food was good but with a little bit of effort could of been great. Steak was on the rare side of medium rare but within what you would expect. Chips were some of the best chips I have ever had. Pepper sauce could do with being a bit thicker and some of the whole pepper corns were hard. The table service could do with being better, my food was delivered and she legged it before I could ask for some vinegar. The plate could also do with warming more.

The food was really nice. We were guests at the hotel for the week, but didn’t go back to the restaurant after our fist experience. this was mainly due to the poor service. The staff could not be more friendly, but there did not seem to be enough staff or they were busy elsewhere in the hotel. When we sat down, around 75% of the tables were empty, but had the leftovers/dishes/glasses from previous guests still on the table. It took so long before the waitress came to our table, that we already made a conscious decision not to order starters or desserts. We also walked to the bar each time to order our drinks, because the waitress seemed to be so busy elsewhere. The hotel is great and the food in the restaurant was good also, but I really think they are missing a trick with lack of staff in the restaurant. We weren’t really able to relax and enjoy our evening meal out, because we all felt frustrated by the lack of service.

A convivial atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. The Brasserie is located off from reception. The food is tasty and a reasonable portion is served. I've taken the rating down because, in my opinion and based on the location, a number of items are priced quite high. These spur restaurants are generally rarely crowded and you have the option to eat in the bar area next door.

I have just had the misfortune to be offered the worst fries I have ever experienced. So awful that they cast their limp, greasy, foul smelling parlour over the rest of the meal.If a place can't get fries right and a place that purports to have the high standards needed to justify its prices let those out of the kitchen to reach my table, what other standards do they let slide? Should I also be worried about food higyne? What else lurks as yet undiscovered?

Ate here last night and the quality of the food put some London restaurants to shame. Lets hope its 2/2 this evening ☺️

What a find! This place was quite good. The food was excellent. We had the burger, fish & chips, and Cajun pasta. For dessert we had the chocolate brownie with ice cream. The staff is very friendly and prompt, outstanding service throughout our dining experience. The food was surprisingly good. The burger was cooked to perfection. I asked to sub the fries for a salad, and no issues. The fish & chips were fantastic. Loved the chips, the perfect amount of crispy outside and fluffy inside. The Cajun pasta had just the right amount of spice. The dessert was outstanding. The brownie was super moist, we were blown away at how good it was.The wait staff was very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. They made sure we were well taken care of. We are staying in the hotel and highly recommend this place.
