Powillimount Beach
Beautiful long beach, in places rocky, sandy and full of shells. An impressive cave. Wild flowers. Car parking for about 20 cars, well maintained. Possible to walk around beach to Southerness or Carsethorn at low tide.

Powillimount Beach
Lots of craggs and crevices, rock climbers come here for the small but difficult rock face with cave archway. Good rock pools for crab hunting. Free carpark with great twitching vantage points. No toilets. Better sand than southerness beach.

Absolutely cracking wee beach, quite secluded, great for swimming, Wear flip flops as it is rocky.

Powillimount Beach
Powillimount Beach is located in Southerness, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is a fantastic beach location with great rocks for exploring, clean water, caravan park near, lighthouse and free parking. It has great scenery, sandy beach, rocks to climb, pools to explore, rock arch to explore and shelter to sit/barbeque in. It is excellent for cove and cave exploring. However don’t forget about tide as it can come in or leave very fast. It is a beautiful beach with little coves and soft sand

Powillimount Beach
[Trip November 2023] Interesting beach! We were there in the rainy day and got lucky that the rain stopped for us to explore the area. Can't wait to go back again in the sunny day! ps. We checked the tide time and plan to arrived when the tide started to go out.
