To whom it may concernI was not happy with the level of service provided by DrI went to A&E Emergency today (13.12.2023) with a high blood pressure and pins & needles in my head.I waited for more than 4+ hours. When I got seen by the spring filed house Dr, Selvi Chentil she commented “you have come here unnecessary” and “you should have had paracetamol”. And told me to have paracetamol or ibuprofen. All medical practitioners owe a duty of care to their patients. As a patient, I was not treated by the care which I should have been treated by.I hope this matter gets looked into.

Worst hospital ever. Staff haven’t got a clue and or are not bothered which is so obvious a 5 year old would work this out! Car parking horrendous, security guards sipping coffee think they are special forces. Waiting times are ridiculous. Ambulance service recommended I take my mother in law here after a call to them instead of sending an ambulance service out only for my mother in law’s condition to deteriorate rapidly whilst we are sitting here 4hrs so far MASSIVE MIDDLE FINGER UP TO THE NHS!!!!!!

Had a very bad experience with the A and E department. I came in with my husband and daughter. We all three were not feeling. Instead of being helpful the nurse was very rude and sarcastic when told about not feeling she said it’s not an accident so it not an emergency. Very bad behaviour and not even willing to help out the patients who came in.

Well that was unbelievable. I had to go for a CT scan I sat waiting for almost 50 minutes. Sat in the Day case treatment unit. 5 Staff in the Reception doing nothing except talking and having a laugh. And 6 Nursing staff in the treatment room drinking tea and again having a good old chat not a single Patient in sight for the whole time I was there 1 hour and 9 minutes. And then we ask why is the NHS on its arse. Unbelievable!!!!

Nurses are very nice and friendly and the food served is good. However, most of the doctors walk around with a certain swagger or arrogance. I was seen too by two doctors, one named Charlotte, who was extremely nice but the other doctor who saw me was full of himself and spoke in an arrogant tone. They need some training on customer service as that sort of doctor would fail at the first hurdle in a customer relations position. It's revolting when the doctors talk about you as if you aren't even there.

I was in and out of A&E 3 days running. I should have been admitted from the first day I went in due to my condition, however, they sent me home. I was back in everyday until luckily one doctor admitted me. Once I was placed into Esther White ward, the team were exceptional and amazing! They really were attentive and considerate even though the staff were rushed off their feet, they stayed patient, calm and showed lots of empathy. If it wasn't for my A&E experience, I would have rated 5* just for all the care on Esther White ward, especially Dee and Rita!

Dear Northampton Hospital. Whilst I thank you for fixing my broken leg, after 27 hours without food following the severe fracture, you told me I had missed dinner when I emerged from theatre at 6pm. You thought an egg sandwich was sufficient and said it was the only thing you had left. Frankly, the bag it came in had better flavour, texture, and far better nutritional value than your so-called sandwich. Depriving me of food for no reason is a direct violation of my human rights. It’s now nearly 11pm and I’m trying to sleep - absolutely starving hungry. Get me food or I’m simply going to order a crate of Guinness. Your lack of care is unacceptable and completely unprofessional.

Spent 3 days in there and although surgeon was very nice and helpful nurses on the ward were awful. Please be aware they tried to give me double doses of meds on 3 occasions, twice forgot to switch my drip on, luckily I was in the ball but to think they could be doing this to people who are not with it. and a male nurse kept asking to wash me even though I could walk to the shower myself. As for the nurse shortage I can not see that, there were loads, I had at least 3 on hand. There is a shortage of beds though but that's due to overpopulation.

The hospital itself is great and the staff excellent. The biggest issue is parking. All wards visiting is at the same block of 2 hours so the limited amount of space is highlighted dramatically. I won't complain about the cost because it is comparable to council run car parks. It's just too small!!
