I would thoroughly recommend PA Surveyors for a home survey. I liked the format of a video report; Iain was amenable to questions, and the report was detailed and to the point. Iain was very easy to deal with. He was able to quickly and simply arrange via the estate agent to survey our intended purchase. A very thorough assessment of the house was conducted and a detailed walkthrough given to us which gave us the confidence in the property, but also a comprehensive and prioritised jobs list for work we will want to do on our new property.

As first-time buyers, we were slightly at a loss when it came to surveying - particularly as the house was an old property. Iain was extremely helpful when conducting the survey. He was responsive to emails, scheduled our appointment directing after we contacted him (and pushed it up again when he had a cancellation), and gave a very thorough report with clear instructions on necessary works that could be for potential negotiation points. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a residential survey.

We really liked the process of having the zoom meeting to discuss the findings and getting all the photos which we could use for discussions with the sellers and also for our reference for future work we might want to look into. We contracted Iain at PA Surveyors to carry out a property survey. Iain was supper helpful and provided first class communication with us throughout the process. After the survey was completed we joined Iain online to go through the various photographs of the survey results, this was so helpful for us to visually see/weigh up all the works that needed to be done. Iain was recommended to me during my recent house purchase. Setting up the survey was quick and simple. He sent over lots of photos ahead of the video call report and was very thorough in going through them, pointing out specific points and making recommendations. I found the video call format to be really helpful - being able to ask questions and clarify points in real time rather than in response to a written report is invaluable. Iain was happy for me to share the invite link with a family member who would be helping me to arrange any necessary remedial work so it was great they could join live and ask questions as well. He ran through the various options available if I wanted a full report or just specific points to be written up, but as there were no areas of particular concern I was confident that I had enough with the video call recording. There were a couple of follow up questions about party walls and building regulation requirements that my solicitor had when she was finalising the purchase and Iain was very prompt in providing a response. Would thoroughly recommend Iain to anyone looking for a surveyor.
