Overall it is an alright hall to stay at. I was in an upgraded Room with a washbasin. The design for the halls however is slightly difficult: being that it is set up for a maximum of 12 people to live in one flat, with only 2 toilets and showers, and a kitchen/communal place in the flat which really is only designed for a maximum of 8/9 people at best.It never felt too crowded though, and if you have good flatmates then your year in halls will be fine!

Reception is really helpful and maintenance would come quickly after making a report. However, the ensuite rooms are freezing cold and there’s barely any ventilation in the bathrooms.

Staff and service is 5 stars. Halls are kept clean and some have really modern clean rooms. The en-suite rooms are very small. The shared bathroom rooms are nice size and modern but the bathroom and toilet is very small shared between 5. Kitchen is really good on the other hand. In good location, close to campus and near to bus, corner shops etc. About half an hour walk to the oracle and shops.

The studio flat where I stayed (in block B) is quite nice and equipped with good forniture. The kitchen is separated from the bedroom and quite spacious. Rather, the bathroom is tiny and with an old-style, unpractical sink. The proximity of the bedroom to the window is sometimes annoying when the temperature outside is low.

Good location however the buildings and the rooms are obsolete and shabby. I stayed in an ensuite room, the walls are unbelievably thin. ZERO noise isolation. Literally can hear my flatmates talking in their rooms, the people living downstairs, the ones upstairs and the people outside. Even a £20 earplugs couldn’t help.

Nice modern hall with good facilities. There rooms are of reasonable size and the common areas are cleaned each day, except for weekends.

Good halls and good placement for both Whiteknights and London Road camps

Lived here for my first year, feels and looks a little bit like a prison but apart from that it's fairly pleasant, facilities generally work well, the staff are helpful and it's close enough to walk easily to campus but far enough away that you don't get all the noise.
