Swallow Theatre
Pure magic. This was a chance discovery from a flyer spotted in Gatehouse of Fleet that led to an “Oh, that’s tonight, shall we have a look?” moment. A couple of hours later we were sitting three feet (yes, really) from Brookes Williams and Dan Walsh as they belted out 90 minutes of virtuoso genius. This fabulous little theatre is a wonder. Trust your sat-nav when it leads you to nowhere and you’ll be rewarded with treasure.

One of the smallest theatres in the country, it is a brilliant venue for small audience performances. Has a bar for the interval. A truly magical place in the middle of the Machars peninsula.

The most fabulous small theatre in Scotland, perhaps even in the whole world. A must visit if you can, you'll be rewarded with a warm welcome, an amazing location and an interesting programme.

Watched Sense and Sensibility with the Hotbuckle performers. I can only say, it was done so professionally and passionately, that it made the experience wonderful. We will definitely be going again. The theatre atmosphere and presentation was excellent too. Well done to the organisers for this. Overall a good 5 ⭐️ enjoyable event.

A great little theatre in the middle of know where. The car park is free, you can buy drinks, icecream and enjoy a small garden.

Great wee theatre. Beautiful surroundings.Host were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed being involved with play the readings. It was a good laugh with good coffee too.

What an amazing experience performing at The Swallow. Paul and Helena were excellent hosts, and the intimate theatre space is a wonderful venue. Audience or performer - you have to go here!

It's a beautiful little theatre with a lovely friendly atmosphere. My wife and I go there often (not as often as I'd like though) to see plays, musicians and indeed to be married! Yes you read it correctly, we got married in the Theatre and the proprietors could not have done more for us.

We love this theatre. Over the years of attending here we have not seen one bad show. Helena and Paul pick fabulous performances for their theatre. It's a small intimate theatre. Very highly recommend

Wonderful experience. We saw Shakespeare with our young family. We all belly laughed at certain scenes. We arrived an hour before the showing and set up our chairs and blanket along with everybody else. The audience took their own food and drink and tucked in before the performance. At the end of the show most of the cast came over to see our children to thank them for being such a good audience. They loved the show and the experience. Thank you for a memory to cherish.
