Tried in vain to make a 4pin mini xlr to 2.5mm jack balanced cable for my converted AKG K550 mk2 headphones.found this company via Giggle. Ordered Friday morning with in an hour my item was dispatched via Royal Mail. That evening a email from Royal Mail to say delivery Saturday morning. And yes it did , cable attached and enjoying the new lease of life. Fantastic service and will definitely use this company again . Well done

This review is from a customer based in the USA. First off started with questions to ensure this was the proper mod/SKU for my Denon AH-D2000. I worked very closely with James Crew and Jason Rhys-Thomas through the entire process from beginning to end. They were very patient with answering all my questions and walking me through the entire process end to end.As you can imagine shipping from USA to UK is exorbitant and their modding prices while fair aren’t something I would take lightly which is why I had 21 questions.Once I had all my questions/reassurances answered I packaged and shipped my headphones to travel halfway across the world.They had an extremely quick turn around time and shipped it back using express.I couldn’t be happier with the final product. I had chosen the detachable cable mod, upgraded cables, and dampening mod. The sound quality is undoubtedly better and the detachable cable provides convenience while looking leagues better aesthetically with my color selection and craftsmanship CustomCans provided. For anyone with any doubts, hopefully this review settles them.I could not find any headphone modders stateside worth my time. I went through the trouble of going through this UK based shop and couldn’t be happier.

Fantastic experience. Sent in a pair of DT990 headphones to add an XLR connector, and from the time I sent my headphones to them in the post, it took just 3 days to receive my newly modified headphones (admittedly it probably helped that I spent a little extra on my end to send the headphones to them using Royal Mail Tracked 24), but very pleased with the results all the same.Sylvia was also extremely responsive and helpful on email. Each of my questions were responded to promptly.Highly recommend these guys if you have a pair of headphones that need modding (still no idea why Beyerdynamic insist on non removable cables for the DT770s and DT990s)…

My customized sony cd900sts came in the mail. The detachable cable modification was finished. It looks and works great. To properly test the headphones, I watched the Aikatsu awards show and was extremely pleased by the quality of the female vocals. The imaging and tonality were still great and the custom cord I had for it enhanced the performance of the headphones even more.I'm really glad I was able to get this modification done. I made the right decision by asking customcans to do the mod. Now I have a new way to enjoy the beautiful music of Escaflowne, Aikatsu, Lapis Relights, and Love Live once again. My sincere thanks to the team for making this possible.

Bought the mass loading and damping kit as well as the balanced Mini XLR kit for the dt770, install went well though I wired one of the drivers in backwards so the sound was stronger out of one driver swapped polarity and it's working perfectly, also emailed support about it and while I did figure it out before they replied, they did reply fairly quickly. Would highly recommend this shop. Shipping to Canada was decently priced and didn't take too long at all.

3.5m XLR Headphone Cable for Focal Utopia Phones.Superb service: dispatched next day, received the day after.The cable is great quality, looks good, and sounds good, straight from the box. I'm expecting it to improve after a few hours listening too!The cable that came with my Focal headphones, although of good quality, was very stiff and awkward. This is a great replacement, flexible, and I'm expecting an upgrade too!Very happy!

I bought a replacement cable for my Sennheiser hd800, this new cable seems to be excellent quality and much softer than original cable that was quite rigid. I'm from France and did not get any issue to receive the cable, just had to pay custom fees but I knew it when ordering.

Found CustomCans from a YouTube video recommendation, been in the market for some new Headphones but completely uninspired by the aesthetics of modern headphones, then CustomCans to the rescue with some modified, UV orange Sennheiser HD25s (probably not to everyone’s taste) great retro look and sound amazing for the money, delivery was quicker than anticipated considering they are painted to your spec, just a great experience all around really.

Ordered a custom pair of DT990s from them. Probably took around 3 weeks, but they are made-to-order and overseas from my location. They envisioned my concept perfectly. The headphones look and sound great. Will use their site again for any future audiophile needs. Thanks!
