Wow and wow again. My mum treated me for lunch for my birthday. We chose to try Charnallies as we both had never been before. Also my mum has a plant based diet and the vegan menu online looked great. Well it didn't disappoint. There are soo many places that only offer a vegan option but here there is a full vegan menu, starters, mains and desserts. The welcome we received already made us want to come back again and that was before we were seated. Our waitress was such a delight and made our lunch experience that extra special. The food was cooked in a timely manner, portion sizes were fantastic and tasted delicious. I can honestly say I had a lovely birthday celebrating at Charnallies. We will be back!!!

Came in for lunch with family after a busy day in Clacton. The restaurant has a very ‘Frankie and Bennys’ kinda vibe, but with their own take on American/Italian food, which we liked. I had potato skins and a chicken burger, both of which were absolutely brilliant.The waitress was very polite and helpful in any adjustments we made for allergens and preferences, and everything was brought out in a timely manner.Would definitely recommend!

We have been going to Charnallies for over 15 years and always get great service and food. We recently visited for the bottomless pizza and would definitely recommend it. We managed to get through 9 slices with various toppings. It's all you can eat for £16. It's worth a visit!Would also recommend their breakfast platter at the weekends too.

Very expensive for not much food .. the kids fruit sundae was mainly just banana with a few bits of orange and pineapple .. could do so much better

Charnallies is one of my local restaurants.I would definitely recommend if visiting clacton on sea. It’s down the amusement road onto Clacton pier.Staff all welcoming and friendly.Food is wonderful, I’ve eaten here many times and never had a bad meal.The breakfast on a Sunday is the best for a fiver for all you can eat.

Fantastic!!!Really reasonable pricing at £6 for an all you can eat brunch. Nice thick bacon! Food was exceptional considering the low cost.Staff went above and beyond they were fantastic. Really friendly and helpful.My only little moan is I don't think the raised platter for the food is the best idea as I did knock this off and make a mess, however the staff cleaned it all up and brought more food immediately.
