Unite Students - Atlantic Point

I absolutely hated this place and would urge other students to avoid staying here. The bathroom situation was disgusting - the shower had black mould growing and it was teeming with silverfish. We had a situation where our fridge needed replacing and when they gave us one half the size of the original one, we were told by Laura that we were spoilt. Having a fridge that has enough space for 6 people in a flat is the bare minimum so very disappointed in management. The hoovers smelt so bad and its very clear that there is no support given.

I lived for 2 months in this student residence when I was taking language courses in Liverpool. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. the common areas are also well maintained. it was a very pleasant stay

If you are student who will require stable connection to do your assignments at your room or even active gamer like me, I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER recommend you to stay here. I pay £480/month and have to continuously struggling to get connected to the wifi this accommodation provided.I had told them about this issue from the very beginning and they only said: please contact the wifi provider. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

AVOID this student accommodation, RAT AND MICE INFESTED, Having to buy your own mice traps for your bedroom and kitchen as management staff don’t believe there is a ‘pest problem’. Can hear mice/rats in the walls at night! Had to move rooms temporally until pest control sort this problem out! 48 hour wait for them to arrive due to it being the weekend!! Not acceptable when students are on placement and have assignments due! Woken up at 5am rustling in my bedroom to see a mouse run across your bedroom floor and having to inform security to find a second mouse in the trap in the bedroom next door to me! Large mice running between the pipes in the whole block! I wouldn’t waste your money coming here absolute joke, fobbed off as you’re seen as ‘students’ and you don’t have a voice. Don’t send your kids here, I’m a 26 year old nursing student, the place is recommended for nursing & paramedic students as it’s a quieter site due to placements, the place is booming every night loud music till gone 1am! Noise complaints are a waste of time as you have to keep reporting numerous times to for them to do anything! Disappointing to say the least paying the price of £132pw , Don’t believe the farcical welcoming advertisement shown on social media! It’s all fake! Once they’ve got you to sign that contact your stuck and tied in they say there’s nothing they can do as they have a don’t care attitude and have your money! All about the sales aspect and not about students well-being! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

The layout is slightly confusing at first. The washing machines mess up sometimes. However, the staff are mainly friendly and helpful at reception but sometimes have been very aggressive and intimidating. I would recommend the accommodation but some upgrades could be done.

The location is great if you are at LJMU. Quick and easy to get in to town. Wifi is awful and I’ve contacted people about this several times, vacuum stinks awful but there won’t replace it, washing machines break A LOT and some of the staff can be extremely rude and unhelpful! Laura is the only nice one!

The greetings team here was fantastic. Pleasant, professional, and friendly. Nothing was any bother, and they helped us out a lot. A little run down on the inside. Lots of wee issues needing fixed on arrival. But for student accommodation, it is probably what u get. They were good at getting the things fixed though.

Poor attention to the facilities, worse quality of wifi connection, they even don't care or answer you email! It does not worth the money. If something broke down, you have to deal with it and no one care about it. In every aspect it is awful...I even sent an email to customer service and have not heard back since. It is a very bad attitude that they write answers like we are sorry for what you experienced because in fact they do not care about you and your problems. The manager had a very awful atitude when we argued about our problems and even treated us badly. Talking with her was the worse experience I ever had in the UK, a real nightmare!!!I do not recommond at all... I wish I was more careful while choosing the place.
