Maybe it’s about time you did a survey on yourselfs about harassing the public with unwanted letters and knocks at the door.

We have been sent a Quarterly Acquisition and Disposals of Capital Survey form by the Office of National Statistics to complete with a reminder that failure to reply will result in a fine of up to £2,500.In our case response has to be made by telephone quoting a Respondent ID number provided by them I have tried to do this 3 times and each time the automatic response says that the ID number (provided by them) is not recognised. I phoned the office at 17.15 Monday 17 July on the number provided by their website to be told by the auto response that the office is closed even though the website states clearly that the office is open until 18.00. I wonder how many other hard working people are having their time wasted by trying to complete a useless and bureaucratic survey under threat of a heavy fine if they don't complete it?
