It was our wedding anniversary and we looked forward to a lovely meal.We stood for more than 10mins just waiting for someone to show us to our table. There were only 2 couples in front of us in the queue when we arrived. The server was on her own. She was showing people to their table, taking drink orders, getting drinks and serving before taking the next couple to their table. There were lots of people waiting for food at their tables. A family behind us left due to the waiting.Eventually the food arrived. The garlic bread was limp and barely cooked. There were only 2 tiny slices. The steak and chips were hot and tasty and the ice-cream was ok. You have to enter car details as you arrive to validate your parking. We have not been to a Beefeater for many years but I think it will be a while before we return. It was disappointing.

The food is what is to be expected from a chain restaurant, average but the price reflects this. I would say that the food is over priced for the quality and portion size,I had to ask for more chips with my meal, and also more coleslaw as both were to small of a portionService from the staff was lacking a waited on service expected at a restaurant,I got my own condiments as we weren’t asked if we would like any

Had Louise as our server very polite and helpful seemed very quite for a bank holiday Sunday but started to get busy when we was leaving our table was half 5, we went for unlimited refills you can help yourself but they are quick on getting fresh refills, we both went for the mixed grills the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and meat was cooked perfect chips was chunky and fluffy was really nice meal. Had room for pudding and went for Apple Pie and custard had extra custard which cost me 50p more lol bit was worth, overall really nice meal and good prices, decor seemed dark and possible could do with a referb in my opinion but otherwise 9/10

The staff were extremely pleasant, very friendly and helpful.The food was spot on too. Didnt have to wait more than 15 minutes for our meals. We had the 3 cooked steaks and requested them rare and honestly, they were cooked perfectly!Hats off to the team!

Attended with a small group of friends on a Wednesday tea time. Wasn't very busy. Service was friendly and quick. Food is standard pub chain restaurant quality and value. I'm yet to find one of these chains that can cook prawns and scallops correctly without turning them to rubber. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was closer to medium/well done. The rest of the food was good though, with a nice black forest Sundae to top it all off. You get what you pay for in these type of restaurants and overall its good value. Access is good and parking available right outside the door. The local McDonald's next door does get busy and blocks the access road with drive thru patrons, but it's not a massive inconvenience to wait a few minutes.

This is a good Beefeater restaurant right next door to the Premier Inn hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were a large group with children and they looked after us well. We had an evening meal and breakfast, both which were great. The restaurant is quite big and also has an outside seating area.

Me and my partner stopped for lunch on way home, haven’t eaten in here for many years I have got to say the food that we ate was lovely, but the service really let it down.- seated us to a table straight away and ordered drinks straight away- we then waited 10mins as lady was very busy took our order at the time she also brought us our drinks and apologised for the wait.- main meal came out 15mins after ordering which was fantasticWe then waited 40 mins for desert and plates to be taken away a asked the waitress she said she just check how long it will be and then a man came over and said did you order to apple Betty I said no he said oh what was it then we don’t have that order we ordered everything at the beginning as it set menu I said we do not want to wait any longer if it hasn’t been started he grunted I’ll get the bill brought it back and said to pay at the till. No apology which was upsetting after a great main. Also we ordered refill drink unable to refill when needed as it took so long for them to collect plates. All in all very disappointing.

Convenient if you're driving up or down the A1, or staying locally. We went on a Tuesday evening and found it very busy, in fact we got one of the last tables so advisable to book.Staff very friendly and looked after us, and the food was hot and well presented. No Problems for us, we had s great meal.
