Lincolnshire Firewood

They had advised on delivery for yesterday, their afternoon slot is 5 hrs, my husband had been waiting in, no one turned up / no call about this yesterday. In the morning my husband contacted them to be told they would come today. Upon arrival I was informed that if we are not home, they would just leave it on the driveway, not even a signature required as acceptance of delivery & it doesn't matter if one is at home. I understood the whole point of arranging delivery with the customer is so that they can be at home to receive it as it's not safe for everyone to leave logs on the driveway, especially in this weather they just get wet if left outside too long. Well, never again. If they can't commit to dates set by them, then that says it all. They seem to be in a rush delivering before xmas while forgetting about the basics of good customer service & having the required level of staff in place. It is them setting the 5 day delivery service but it also states on the website that in busy periods it can be longer & delivery date will be confirmed beforehand. Perhaps they should ask the customer whether delivery is urgent at all as ours wasn't but would have expected them to turn up on the date they themselves committed to. The boss" who delivered it in the end was coming up with personal excuses but this is his responsibility to deliver if he commits to something. Then don't commit & don't be unprofessional by complaining about the issues & your customers expectations that the company has set."

Found on eBay - but saw cheaper online, ordered a tonne of trebles - great price great size and nicely bagged up with good strength plastic for easy transportation. The courier they use (at least the one that goes NW) is also great. Phoned to let me know delivery day as well, top class

3rd year in a row they have messed up my order, there won’t be a 4th!! Lost a days pay waiting for a delivery that didn’t come, again. Truly terrible service and communication. Very, very ****ed off.

Ordered online. Small logs out of stock so went for next size up which has been great exercise for my teenage son who’s really enjoying chopping them up, swinging an axe is far better than watching a screen anyway.Was called a few days after ordering to say delivery next day and where did we want the logs tipping, delivery was done when we were told it would be. So far all good will use again

Inacurate pricing, hidden extra charges, poor scheduling, incomplete orders - missing items. Avoid!

Avoid.Was supposed to get a phone call to tell us when delivery was due.....we didn't. My partner works nights so thought at least getting a phone call with a rough delivery time would enable her to wake up and get dressed, unfortunately the banging on the front door did the job instead, very rude delivery driver. As soon as my partner opened the door he simply said I've got your wood, went to his tipper and just dumped them all over the drive and across pavement into the road. No care given, he simply then just drove off. I specifically ordered the smaller size wood because of the size of our wood burner, at least three quarters of the wood delivered will need chopping down more. The amount delivered seems well short of what we ordered as well. Simply won't be using again and I urge anyone else to avoid as well. Very poor

Excellent service! Order made on Sunday evening and the coal was delivered Tuesday morning. They called Monday to tell me the delivery would be with me next day. The delivery person first knocked to confirm where I would like the coal to be left, and he did so with care and attention. I have used this company many times and have always received great service. I have also been to the coal yard itself to collect and whilst they are always ridiculously busy, they have always be polite and helpful.

Took a long time to deliver and wood is damp and does not light as opposed to pro logs ordered and burns brilliantly .this company take your money ,make you wait ,don't knock or advise you its been delivered ,ours was outside in the rain all morning ,then adding insult to injury you almost have to pour petrol on it to get it to burn .if I could get a refund I would ..shocking company ,when I called they made me feel like they where doing me a favour not me paying £170 for poor wood ..Avoid Avoid Avoid

I have used Lincolnshire Firewood for many years and bee very happy with the service and products, however this time I also ordered some of the kindling. It is just cheap pine off cuts possibly from a timber yard or carpenters workshop, so much has to be used for the solid fuel to catch and it burns so quickly that it is totally uneconomic to use. I tried on three separate occasions to contact them via their web site only to be told’ sorry there was an error in sending the message ‘ try again later . How convenient. No one answers the phone so I’ve given up. The photo is a sample out of the top of the net.

Very disappointing. Explained that we could only take delivery on particular day, waited three weeks then wood was dropped outside the house (on the road) while we were at work. Delivery is undersized this time round, around 1/4 less wood than previous deliveries. We have used Lincolnshire Firewood in the past and things have been satisfactory, but wont be returning.
