I really want to like this place but every time we dine or take out, the food takes too long to arrive. So hungry by the time the food arrives, it's difficult to feel good about this experience. It feels like they've made the bread from scratch, grown the salad, hand picked the lemons etc...but the taste does not match the wait. Disappointing.

This is a really nice budget restaurant with friendly staff and a different selection of dishes to the normal high street chains. We had the very generous sharing platter. Highly recommended.

We passed by on foot while exploring Newport and were extremely curious. My friend and I are food neophytes and were a little skittish, but the staff were very willing to answer our questions and suggest dishes we would enjoy for our first foray unto this cuisine! I ordered the Grilled Vegetables with Melting Aubergine, as pictured, and it was delicious. Light and playful flavors interacted before fading, allowing for the next bite to be aa fulfilling an exploration as the first. I would recommend this restaurant to any venturing to the area!Thank you, Falafino Island, for introducing us to a brand new flavorful world!

We ordered via WhatsApp outside of restaurant hours and then paid over the phone when the restaurant opened. 45 mins later our food was delivered.When the food arrived it was piping hot and generous in quantity.We had ordered the normal Mezza to start and the Double Platter for a main.As mentioned above there was plenty of food, so much so that it defeated my wife, my daughter and I!Overall it’s fair to say that the service and food were excellent!!

Not what we hoped for after a long, tiring day cycling. Shame as I really wanted to like this place - the guy running it and our waitress were both nice.Slow service despite us being one of only two tables. I think they focus on takeaway as we could see multiple orders going out.Food was poor - all the individual ingredients tasted low quality. We had mezze, falafel wraps and an avocado poke bowl. Everything had pretty much identical ingredients just arranged in a different way and served with the same tasteless salad.

Ordered take out, food was brilliant. The burger was tasty & the bun fluffy! The shish taouk plate is full of flavours & comes with a lot of pieces of chicken! Salad was nice as well, totally recommend this place!!

Been visiting Falafilo Island for sometime now.Always had a great meal, always made to feel welcome. I have visited with friends, family and a relaxed business lunch.This is the choice of restaurant intown for both children (love the birthday cakes - they're delicious)Tonight I had a delivery which was stunning (I had won a Christmas delivery - this was shared and enjoyed greatly)Merry Christmas Falafilo IslandWe'll be back in to visit soon
