Great, easy experience of car renting. Would recommend and will be back!

The overall service and experience my family and i received from this car rental company is extremely poor. In fact I would not recommend them under no circumstances. From the moment we made the reservation we had our doubts.After making payment upfront to reserve the car we never received an email indicating the final price and what was agreed vía the phone. As a result they tried to play this to their advantage when I went to collect the car were they tried to charge me for an extra driver, which was agreed previously because they asked us to change our pickup date to accommodate them because our chosen time was inconveniente .During the rental period the car broke down and we were stranded for 6 hours in the middle of the donegal mountains with two kids until a pickup truck arrived . When the pickup company arrived they apologized for the delay but they could not get earlier because they work until 6pm. Why did the rental company not call their insurance or RAC to deal with this emergency?Furthermore during the entire ordeal they were not sure if they could provide us with another car or a means to return to our accommodation. To further top it all off my wife and I made the majority of the phone calls , in fact on various ocasiones they told us to ring them because they would need to make an international call to ring us.When we returned the other rental car we were met by the owner with a bill of £250 for the damages for to car that broke down. They insisted that we put petrol instead of desiel in the car and this was the cost to repair it. Despite that we showed them a receipt illustrating that we put the correct fuel and they were persistente that it was our fault and we must pay before leaving and they even threatened to call the Police.During this final episode the owner started asking personal questions about how much we have spent on our trip etc.. and do we really want to spoil our holidays for the sake of 250 pounds. This was totally unprofessional and totally out of place; questioning our economic situation.Finally and probably the most shocking of this entire experience was the racist manner they addressed my wife , who is not a native english speaker but understands english. They directly addressed me indicating that I should know because i am from here ... which i still dont get up until today

Excellent service Keith managed to arrange a car at very short notice, great rates far more realistic than bigger car hire business. Will definitely use again.

Horrible experienceWe rented a diesel car for a week. Tank was ¾ full. We used the car for about 100 miles and refueled something like a 1/3 of the tank. We even commented among us which diesel to use to refuel between the 2 in the station. Chose one of the diesels and even kept the receipt that showed that we refueled with diesel.Drove another 170 miles more for 3 days and then suddenly the car gave a message that it was overheating. Stopped immediately and contacted the provider. He tried to tell us what to check, and as nothing seemed wrong recommended to test drive slowly. The car basically wouldn´t move anymore. They arranged a pick up and substitution of car which took more than 5 hours.When we returned the second car, we were told that the first car broke down because we put in petrol. We were presented with a report from a mechanic that had emptied the tank and found a mixture of petrol and diesel.We were 100% sure we put diesel and even had the receipt to prove it. Then the accusation changed to say that the fuel we put in was not of good quality and we were expected to pay for the repair and that we should investigate with the petrol station if we wanted…. They never wanted to consider that some previous renter might have put some petrol in the car (as we suggested), even though that this could have been the answer to their issue.Discussion got a bit “ugly” with a hint of racism from the owner´s partner who got involved on the discussion. And we were told they would start legal proceedingsWe decided to pay for nearly all the repair just because things seem so bad, and they insisted we could not leave their premises unless we paid, even though we knew we did nothing to cause the damage to the car.I would not recommend renting a car here, even if prices seem a bit cheaper than in other places. We ended up paying for something that we were 100% sure we had not done. And having a horrible experience.Google does not allow me to put 0 stars, as it would deserve.

Excellent, friendly, polite owner. The cars are clean and tidy. Every year, we rent cars only in this company.

Recently rented a larger model car from Keith Black. Was overcharged and even though he did repay most of the extra week he left £50 short which then he said he didnt charge correctly in the first place. The cars air-conditioner did not work..yes it was actually very warm in Ireland..and he said just wind windows down. The brakes were substandard, wipers noisy and the fan belt was extremely noisy till it warmed up. I would definately not recommend this dealer. Price ended up more than Dublin Airport.

I had a good experience of renting a car with Kingdom Hire. I came into Armagh on a bus from Dublin Airport, and Keith kindly picked me up at the bus station. I was given a clean automatic diesel car that worked perfectly fine. I also had to extend the rental due to an event being rained off, and I was able to do so until the car was due to lent out again. I will definitely use Kingdom Hire again in the future.

Very disappointed with Kingdom Cars and would not recommend to anyone. We visited Ireland from Canada and rented a vehicle for the duration of our stay however the first car had an oil leak resulting in toxic fumes entering the cabin and making my family sick.After about a week we were able to have the car swapped out for a different vehicle.This car had barely legal tires and from the second day until we returned the car we were constantly putting air in the tires. I visited a reputable tire shop to see what they could do and they refused to touch the car stating is was barely legal to drive given how little thread was left on the tires.To add insult to injury upon returning the car the owner identified one tire as being bad and needing to be replaced and proceeded to charge me for half the cost.We were able to have the car for a day long than contract which we were not charged for which is the bare minimum given we had to change out travel plans due to being poisoned with fumes after 15 minutes of driving.Sadly I am disappointed in how the owner handled the situations and if the rest of his fleet are anything like the 2 vehicles we had for hire you are probably best to look elsewhere for a rental car while visiting Northern Ireland.

Very good experience recently when hiring a van from Kingdom Car Hire, efficient, friendly service, no problems in making transaction at short notice and would have no hesitation in recommending this business to anyone needing to hire a vehicle. Reasonable hire rates with insurance included, in comparison to other widely advertised companies, Kingdom would be my first choice and will definitely hire again from this local business.
