Bruce was wonderful! Extremely responsive by phone and email, easy pickup of our grandfather clock, lots of communication while it was undergoing evaluation and repair, and quick drop off with detailed instructions and helpful advice. We highly recommend Clock Wise!

What a fantastic place, I must say their art is dying with the technological age but these guys are the real deal, not a mobile/watch replacement battery service which seemingly are popping up everywhere.Took my Grandads broken (made in early 1900) pocket watch, they had a look around worked out a quote and then gave me an ETA, I called up later expecting an answer if they’d be able to fix it or not and was told it was already fixed and ready to go! The final sum was in the quote and I even got a free tin of biscuits, fantastic craftsmanship. Bedford is lucky to have them both. Strongly recommend them, could be best in the country!

A great little place. Lived beside it for 17 years and only had the pleasure of visiting it this week for the shortening of two watch straps. Highly recommended. A gem in the town of Bedford.

A shop you don't imagine would still exist today based on the service offered. Really friendly and clearly passionate about clocks and restoration and supporting customers. Was very upfront about costs versus value and even came away with a complimentary tin of sumptuous oatie biscuits too when I collected the Black Forest cuckoo clock that I brought in in quite a sorry state. It's now safely on the wall here in my home ticking away happily and cuckooing as it should. A 40 year old clock that represents very happy family memories now creating new ones. My Father's old carriage clock which has great sentimental value stopped working. We entrusted Bruce Fryer at Clock-wise to carry out a full overhaul. Bruce is very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to clocks and watches. When we collected our clock it was fully working and pristine, including all the workings of the clock. Bruce carefully explained what had gone wrong and the work he had carried out to rectify the problem. He also gave us invaluable advice on how to care for the clock and how to wind it up. The clock continues to work and keeps perfect time.I have also had new watch batteries fitted by Bruce at Clock-wise over many years and they have always lasted much longer than the ones I used to have fitted by Jewellery shops.Bruce is a real pleasure to do business with. Left message about cleaning my father's pocket watch for my wedding.Call never returnedAfter response from owner, which I greatly appreciate, all I can say is I didn't receive a call back but none of us are perfect and mistakes do happen.

I took my grandads 1928 pocket watch in to be repaired and serviced as I want to wear it to my daughters wedding, I could not remember it running in the last 50 years. I am so impressed with the knowledge and service I received, the watch is now running perfectly. I highly recommend Clock Wise
