As a visitor, I love coming to Gateshead's iconic Stenhouse! The range of products is fairly broad for what you'd expect, and the shop is easy to navigate. And if you don't know where something is, or if you've got a question about anything in the local community, the staff is more than ready to assist you. Obviously, it can't compare to the Jewish shops i'm used to in the US - but this is a whole different league. And I quite enjoy it when I visit Gateshead.

No better bakery to live next door to!

Even in gateshead you won't go hungry, on top of a regular grocery ( also selling wine) they have their on premises bakery with really good stuff.... When you are in gateshead make sure to stop by& enjoy.

Fabulous bakery love coming here as there is plenty to choose from. Everything is lovely and fresh. The cakes are delicious and taste so much different. The bagels and bread are really fresh. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
