Whitney Farm Livery

Absolutely horrendous yard. Didn't sign a contract and paid a months notice purely because I'm a genuine person. Day later I'm told they have rented my stable to someone else when I have paid for it for another 4 weeks and my belongings are in there. This principle wouldn't apply if renting a property ? So why should it be any different. Paid for a stable I am not having and now won't refund my money? Rules are twisted as and when to suit, get a row for using the wrong hose or not closing a door when I go around sweeping the bl@@dy yard for them! Hay is also dusty. Glad I won't be going back.

Whitney farm is in a beautiful location within hacking distance of Merthyr mawr village and ogmore beach. Excellent run livery farm with good facilities. Owners are friendly and always very supportive. I have made many friends whilst at Whitney farm there is always a friendly face to hack out with or if ur like myself and my daughter enjoy competing there's always a support team.

I've been on the yard for over 18 months now having been on a waiting list to join. It's one of the best yards I've been on as everyone is friendly and pulls together to help each other out. We've travelled to fun rides together, support each other at events, annual weekend away at camp, hack together as well as regular yard competitions for the kids (and big kids)! The school is maintained well and has a lovely surface with a variety of jumps. Andrew and Sarah really do try to cater for all whether you're a happy hacker or eventer, you won't be disappointed :)

Friendly, peaceful yard with excellent facilities including a well maintained outdoor school. Amazing hacking through quiet lanes, sand dunes and beaches. Regular yard events and friendly competitions for all ages and abilities.

Absolutely awful.I loaned a horse based there once and was kicked off the yard for riding out to a neighbouring yard for a jumping lesson - they argued it was because the yard had strangles 5 years before. These rules were never stated to me verbally or in writing. The way the incident was handled was very unprofessional and very stressful.The owners are very unprofessional and hard to deal with .As with many yards there are lots of extra costs on top the livery rate.I have a few friends who have kept horses at this yard over the years and many of them have had serious issuesAvoid at all costs there are so many great yards in the area such as Groes Farm, Tyla Farm and Shortcross to name just a few.

Been on this yard for nearly eight years absolutely lovely owners great people on the yard and fantastic riding in the area, couldn't ask for a better place to keep your horse!

This is such a lovely yard. The owners & other liveries have been amazing helping me through my mishap. The owners regularly organise events for children & do lots of amazing fund raising. It's so much more than just a livery yard.Very well run & really good facilities & big school. Excellent all round. Probably explains why vacancies here don't come up often.

This is by far the nicest yard I have been on. The people are extremely friendly and everyone has made me feel welcome. There are always activities arranged in the holidays for children and adults to take part in. The owners did everything they could to accommodate my two horses being together, rather than on completely different parts of the yard. It was really nice that people moved around so that they could be together. For someone to rant about not having their stable for their belongings to be kept in whilst notice was being served, shows how considerate they are. There was always a spare stable where belongings could have been kept so that my two horses could be together. One gets particularly stressed but she settled straight away at this yard.
