Weston's Bakery (Halstead)

My first visit to Halstead and I stopped here for tea and cake. The staff were wonderful and patient, super friendly and helpful. I had a rather delicious Black Forest Gateau and my elevensies partner had a scone, which she enjoyed. If your in the area, stop by.

Firstly, the staff were really welcoming and helpful. We bought a whole bunch of different things and for the price it was great. I thoroughly recommend the Belgian bun, Eccles cake, and London cheesecake. The millionaires shortbread was also tasty. I think we will be going back for the cornflake slice, which the person who served us says goes great with custard!

Lovely staff, always polite and very quick service, they have a natter with you too which is nice. Great food and good value.

I had a poor experience, cheese scones with no cheese and very undercooked, completely inedible. Jam doughnuts were very dry too. Such a shame, I may try again when everywhere else is closed.

Brilliant sausage rolls and cakes. Very friendly staff. Lovely place to sit and eat too.
