I was on holiday down south with my family when i suffered a gearbox failure with my Mazda 2, 150 miles from home. Ringing around local garages, Dave from Swindon Automotive repair was not only the only garage that answered and tried to help me, but due to my situation and being stranded, was able to fit me in at short notice even though he was fully booked for weeks.Dave and his colleague took the time to take a look at my car once it had been recovered there, and was able to diagnose the fault straight away. He was open and honest to me about costs and how ling it would take from that very first day, and over the following weeks rang me every few days to make sure I was kept up to date with progress, which really put my mind at ease with being so far away.After three weeks the car was repaired (involved sourcing and supplying a replacement gearbox after attempts at repairing the old one looked like too much work and expense), was fully tested and I was able to travel back down to come pick it up.The work done was of super high quality, car felt better than ever, and I was pleasantly surprised with the bill, was far less than I was expecting.Dave and his colleague are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, great at comms and will go the extra mile for you.I really highly recommend Swindon Automotive Repair, just a shame they are not my local garage!

David & Lee are professional, experienced and knowledgable mechanics. The guys were busy but that never stopped them answering a lot of questions about issues I currently have with my car. The work i booked to have done was done efficiently and I have rebooked to go back to sort another issue. I’ve found my new local garage, where I can be confident that the work is a great standard and the customer care is a priority. Thank you both.

First time going here, did struggle to find it at first but got there in the end. But amazing service they explained everything and showed me what was wrong, they worked around me with the hours i work was able to drop it off during a break and picked it up once i finished. Extremely friendly staff and even recommended places to go to get tyres as i needed 4 new ones. Will 100% be going back and would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a place to go for any thing they need done to their car. Fair prices as well

My car was leaking brake fluid and was very dangerous to drive yet a big well known car dealership never picked this up and passed the car for MOT. A friend had recommended Swindon Automotive Repair and I rang David late afternoon on a Tuesday as no one would help me with my car and sort the brake fluid. David and the team were amazing and talked me through what was wrong with my car, what work it would need done and costs. I needed my car straight away for a work commitment the next day and David and the team had my car sorted and repaired that evening. The cost was reasonable and the service was amazing! I will definitely be back for all future needs with my car and would recommend them to everyone!

Wow Dave and Leigh. What a superb pair of mechanics and human beings you are. My car broke down late on Saturday, whilst in swindon for a weekend.....not a problem at all for these guys. Car had had some major issues sorted at a really reasonable price. Dave and Leigh have worked tirelessly to get my car back to me by Christmas and have communicated with me every step of the way in the most friendly way possible. The best place I found to service my car.I bought a car and it happened to have an issue with the gearbox, clutch, and a few other things. It was still under the warranty and David managed the situation end to end, talking to the insurance company, checking the options, and got it fixed in time to claim the cost of the gearbox replacement.Going beyond their professionalism, they are really approachable guys, extremely polite and helpful. They voluntarily explain the issue in all minor details in such a way anyone can understand.Few days later I left the same car for MOT and I honestly don’t see myself leaving my cars somewhere else.

I had gone to one of the ‘well known’ companies who had referred to me a different company for my engine management issue. Did my own research and came across Swindon Automotive Repair, spoke to David and he was fantastic and very honest.He kept me updated every step of the way while investigating and resolving the problem. The issue was resolved within a few hours and I picked my car up on the same day.I definitely recommend David and his team, I’ll be sticking with them for anything to do with my car now.

So so impressed with this company. I had problem with car and they managed to fit me in quick to have a look. They sorted it all out for me re an oil leak. Super professional. Super friendly and great price. They have restored my faith in excellent customer service. Will be using them from now on for all our cars.

David and his team were great with my car. They replaced my car's broken coil spring in no time and I was so pleased at how fast they got it in for repair. They also quoted me a very reasonable price compared to other garages. They were very polite and very knowledgeable on their stuff. They even took the time to advise me on low brake discs, which I had no idea about.They were very professional and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any future repairs my car might need.
