Cortes House

Amazing house and it's facilities. Huge rooms, kitchen area, hall, and garden.

Loved our stay in this amazing house. Great location for the North East attractions and amazing coastlines. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Really good for 1week but me and my whole family wanted to stay for 1 more week they loved the table tennis room.Todays our last day and we are going to miss this place hope we come back next year

MASSIVE HOUSE!! Really bug and has an awesome basement with loads of cool tech (including projectors, DVD players, etc.) Loved it.

Avoid ! We booked Cortes house for our wedding. Obviously wedding need to be postponed and Cortes worked with us to find new date, but since then they have been unreachable. I’m emailing them and calling (if you call from mobile their phone number isn’t free) and nobody is getting back to me. At this stage we are ready to cancel. To be precise in June I sent email asking to amend contract, no response, called them they couldn’t find my booking had to sent contract to them, no response, called again and once again had to send contract to different email address no response. Called twice a week for 3 weeks and each time was told that someone will call me back. Nobody did. A week ago sent email to every email address for them I could find with official complaint, no response. Called every phone number I could find including phone number to person that showed us around a year ago. Managed to speak with very rude and condescending man who told me they will call me back, that was few days ago, nobody did. Now it’s August and still nobody has gotten in touch with me. Also as mentioned their phone number isn’t free so calling them costed me £20 on top of deposit that I am assuming I will never see back. Before I posted this review I gave Cortes house many opportunities to resolve my enquiry or simply just call me back to tell me they are not interested. Avoid !

Brilliant venue for friends catch-up, great facilities. Cinema room kept kids happy. A*****

Loved this place went for a viewing and the place it's beautiful however we have been trying to book this for an event for 3 weeks and still no reply. Now considering others venues as there booking service don't seem interested in us

We celebrated our wedding at Cortes House and it was the most wonderful experience. We couldn't have wished for anything more. The house is absolutely gorgeous and so are the grounds. We stayed there with 23 people over 3 nights and there was not a single thing we missed. The house is big enough for everyone to do their own thing but also has rooms big enough for everyone to be together. We really miss it!

Great place to stay! Our host was very gracious and fun to talk too. Large and beautiful house and property. Highly recommended B&B.
