How wonderful to find good old fashioned service and help. All I needed it seemed was a few centimetres of elastic for my job. Which was exactly what I was sold for 20p. A real treasure trove.

Waited 8 days for my trousers to be shortened an inch and they came back exactly the same length. Was refused a refund at first. Then had a phone call to say they would refund me if I came back to the store. I decided to take my trousers back with another pair that were exactly the same to show that the length was still the same, but they would not hear me out, went back on their word to refund me and even grabbed my trousers and would not release them until I demanded them back. Shocking treatment.

What a wonderful haberdashery!! And right in the town centre. Amazing selection of jersey, silk and much, much more. Trimmings galore. I was like a child in a sweet shop.....I wanted it all!

Would not recommend for dry cleaning. Definitely not the same experience as when it was Johnson’s cleaners. Cleaning took a a week longer than promised; Delicate jumpers came back mis-shapen, had clearly been hung up to finish drying when wet so the necklines and shoulders have stretched. Wouldn’t say they are ruined, but un-wearable.
