As a Landlord, I have been paying over £60 a month for emergency cover for the heating system, plumbing, drains and electric for over a year now. Last week I had to call Saltire as there was a leak into the lady's flat below. The emergency appointment was arranged for 7pm when the tenant would be in. I took a call at 6pm from the attendee who claims he didn't know he had to be there at 7pm.I then took a call from a call handler who attempted to cancel the 7pm attendance. I told him the appointment has been arranged and under no circumstances is it to be cancelled.After 7pm I received a further call to say that there was no issues with the heating system. I asked what the heating system had to do with the leak as Saltire were previous told as part of my description the area of the leak was away from any part of the central heating system. The call handler stated that Saltire don't really do plumbing. She said 'I know it's on the list of what we do, but we don't really do it, we are a heating engineer company. Plumbing is a different thing'. I requested a plumber be sent out as per the contract. I was informed a plumber would be sent out the next day Saturday in the morning.On Saturday no plumber had been out by 3pm. I receive a further call from Saltire. They had 'no plumber to send out and anyway the heating engineer couldn't see a leak'. They said they couldn't arrange a time to come out with the plumber. I told them I provided them with a full day's access which Saltire chose not to use only to be told 'We have emergencies to attend to!'Eventually a plumber attended on Monday evening (day 4 of the leak) briefly looked around the kitchen and bathroom and said he couldn't see anything and left. The return call ('if not it will be an email') I was to receive following his visit is still outstanding (No email either).This was a good company at one time that I had confidence in. Now it's gone to the dogs.To update this review, I have now had the benefit of an independent company who traced the issue and carried out a repair in a day for £395. Saltire in comparison, have taken over £720 from me by direct debit over the last year for no meaningful service.So, to sum up, If you want a company that uses every excuse an evasive workman ever came up with to avoid doing their job, then Saltire is for you.If you want a company that can't communicate among themselves or most importantly, with the customer then Saltire is for you.If you want a company that takes a direct debit from your account every month to provide a service, but does not provide a service as per the contract then Saltire are for you.My assumption would be that they don't really do drains or electrical work either.Chose your facilities company well. Don't chose Saltire, why would you want to do that?

Reviews of non existent customer service being posted 6 years ago, and nothing has changed. When boiler was being serviced recently, we apparently missed the engineer on the 1st visit (despite having a ring door bell and there being no visit). They expect you to wait in from 8am until 7pm for the engineer

Brilliant dealership. Lots of very cool bikes at Alba Customs and in the main floor of Saltire. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable, the cafe is great, the service and repair work I’ve had done is always to an extremely high standard and they take real pride in the work. I did my riding training here and the instructors are superb. Very patient and friendly with a confidence inspiring teaching style. It’s the kind of place I feel comfortable dropping in on if I’m passing and it’s the kind of dealer that invests in motorcyclists. Which is always a smart move.

Appalling company. They seem to think that if you rent from a Housing Association that they can treat you like scum. Two failed to attend appointments due to various lies depending whom you speak with - ie emergency in the area/engineer taken ill etc etc, then they turn up when you haven't booked them and call that a 'no access' appointment. Rebook again and tell them I need time to get back from Dundee after a nightshift. They turn up at 0915hrs when I finished work at 0800hrs with at least an hours drive back on a good day. Yes you guessed it I missed them. Speak to their call centre staff who are rough and ready women with no customer service skills. At the end of the day they don't care, they have a contract and their lives are not inconvenienced and they are not at threat of having their gas supply capped if it is not serviced. One company I hope goes bust as it is APPALLING!!!!

The guy who comes out is a 20star the people who answer the calls were rude told me to call the council back as they apparently didn't have emails. This went on for days.. even the fire brigade ask me to tell them it's an emergency and still her attitude was shut down and dismissive.. also the same to the council. It got escalated to the 4x boss.of the council. Who was extremely angry... But the guy who does the job is outstanding kind polite and gets the job done. And not a quick on he makes sure it's done right and tells u the process first and keeps everything protected and cleans up after himself
