Airport Taxis

I often use these taxis when going on holiday, simply because they are an official airport taxi, and can drop you off right at the main terminal entrance. However, the prices are not cheap especially for the return journeys back home. The drivers are a mixed bag, some are ok and others don't say much.

My girlfriend left her laptop in the taxi that picked her up from the airport. I called the Airport Taxi switchboard and they promptly found the driver that dropped her off at her destination, and the taxi drove right back to her and gave her the laptop she thought she lost. Amazing customer service, thank you for everything!

I'm new in Newcastle and I don't know the area that much. So I picked a taxi from Newcastle airport to take me Ta Gateshead and an Indian or Pakistani Taxi driver was there waiting for customers. I jumped in his taxi and I gave him my address and postcode of the area I wanted to go. He pretended that I would show him the way home. And because I asked him if he had the Sat Navigator he was furious and arrogant to me all the time with rude words. Dean Taxi is a better company. I never had problems with them and they are all nice people towards their customers.

Booked a taxi with budget taxis but they never turned up. Called and the operator was rude.Called airport taxis and they sent one straight away. All the other taxis we called had at least an hour wait. If I go back to Newcastle again will definitely use them again.

Nice and reliable. Just be cautious and have local cash ready (currency exchange at the airport), because if you prefer to use your credit card, they will charge you a minimum" of 16 pounds - no matter how much was a trip (4 pounds in my case).Update 1 year later: We had a trip to Seaham again (2018). We used the same taxi service to get from New Castle Airport to Seaham. But this time we had a little "adventure" - my teenage son left his camera with expensive after-market lens and a bunch of memory cards in the taxi. We found out only next day

Always good, always on time, always the same price whenever I book them. No problem with 5am pick up times either and deliver what they promise. I use them about many times when travelling to and from the Airpot and can recommend them highly.

Taxi driver had 6 off us in the car and didn’t let me out the back to go into the hotel with my friend (who he stole her phone from)! I started shouting at him to stop and he continued to ignore me, he then stopped randomly in the middle of no where near and asked if I wanted to get out I obviously said no as I was in the middle of nowhere so had no choice to go back to another hotel with 4 lads I just met luckily these lads were good people!! Never again. Also over charged us it was £30 and should have been £15-£20 also.

A driver in an Newcastle Airport Airport Taxis car was behaving unprofessionally yesterday. We had rude hand gestures from him, dangerous driving such as undertaking and eventually he moved at a green light just enough but stopped deliberately in an attempt to cause an accident with us. Car Reg: DI9 RNN with Northumbria Badge no. BV139. I WILL be taking this up with both police and with the taxi licensing departments over this as he had passengers in the car at the time.

My mobile phone was STOLEN by one of the taxi drivers. I tracked it to his home address through two different GPS tracking systems. He denied he had it even though I could clearly show him it was showing to be within his house. Reported it stolen to police who then attended his house but were unable to get the phone back. Absolutely disgusted. I was visiting newcastle for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and I ended up sitting crying in my hotel room. The company should not have people like this working for them.In reply to the owners reply:This complaint does have to do with your taxi company as the taxi I was in clearly had airport taxis Newcastle on the side of it. The driver still works for your company even though he was doing a separate fare. I personally spoke with your company so you are well aware of who the driver is. This crime was reported to the police and newcastle council licensing board. It's disgraceful that this man is employed to work in a trusted position and is stealing from customers.
