Laser Station Fountain Park

My daughter had her 10th birthday party here on 2nd December and it was a shambles from start to finish. Staff here have no clue about organisation or customer service.Our hostess did not identify herself to us upon arrival and nobody seemed to know what was going on. I was told that there had been some kind of mixup. Nobody was ready for us. Our table wasn’t ready, and it took an inordinate amount of time to have someone clean it. The party next to us was extremely disruptive, meaning that staff inevitably spent longer dealing with them than attending to us. The schedule wasn’t explained either. The children exited the laser game around 3.30 and sat for a full 10-15 minutes with no drinks offered. The food came out around another 10 minutes later (!) with no names on or a list of who ordered what. I had to hand most of it out myself (no hostess in sight, again!) and I guess I was expected to remember the orders of 15 children. This resulted in two children’s orders being mixed up and one ending up with something she didn’t like. I asked for another pizza meal and was charged £4.95. It didn’t arrive until the party was more or less finished. After the food we waited another 10-15 minutes for the ice cream which we watched sitting in the kitchen for almost that entire length of time. By this time it was 4.10 and I had been told the party would last 1h and 15 minutes so parents were told to come back at 4.15. They were already arriving and we hadn’t done the cake or sang happy birthday. I had to ask twice for the ice cream which was just dumped on the table. My daughter, who’s party it was, was last to get ice cream. No party bags had appeared by then either and i also had to ask for those. That was all done hurriedly resulting in one child who had to leave not getting either cake or a party bag.By this time, an alarm had started to sound and this was when it all went rapidly downhill. Staff started verbally pushing children outside without checking which adult or party they were with or making sure they had their jackets. I got separated from my daughter who was terrified and hysterical by the time I found her and the other child yet to be picked up. I’m appalled at how children were treated. One of them was out with no jacket because nobody had the sense to allow him to collect it. It was almost freezing at that time and there could have been serious repercussions had his parents not shown up. As it was he was stood outside in a t shirt for around 30 minutes.As a single parent, I am reliant on the services I have paid for regarding party organisation being provided, and it causes a significant amount of stress when this is not the case. There are so many options for birthday parties in Edinburgh, do not choose this one. They simply do not care. I have sent a complaint in on Sunday and it hasn't even been acknowledged, never mind responded to.

Good fun but went on Friday for the first time playing laser game and nobody explained us anything, didn’t know that we had to use both hands on the gun for it to work (so we lost half the session as it wasn’t working) and way too crowding for this place. Will go back but try to look for a quieter time

I cannot thank Molly and the team enough for today. They made my daughters birthday party seamless. Nothing was too much trouble. The kids had a great time and the cashless arcade was great to get rid of some energy before we left. Thank you!!

I remember going to Lazer quest as a kid, loved it so much. So when laser station opened we couldn't wait to book for our son's 8th birthday (an ultimate party for 10 kids). The actual game was lots of fun... Everything else was such let down. From the moment we arrived it was obvious that there was no organisation. We hadn't even got set at the table and we're still waiting for people to arrive when we were rushed to the 1st game... No run down for the kids or mission as stated.. just thrown in. After the games we went back to our table where I spent 15 mins chasing 3 different staff members trying to get juice for the table, then another 10 mins trying to get the jugs refilled. The food arrived and it was terrible, dry pizza and burgers and undercooked chips which all of the kids left. I then asked if we could have the cake brought out and was told they were too busy and we should go to the arcade. Which we did... After the kids used their arcade credit we returned to the table to have the cake and waited another 15 mins with no sign of the cake.. again had to go and chase staff to find out what was happening, as by this point the kids were starting to get quite annoyed as was I. The cake came out and I asked if we could cut it for the kids to have as they had been waiting a while. Only to be told that the table was booked for another party and there wasn't time, but they would bring some ice cream.. and would cut the cake and Pop the slices into the party bags and bring them out. 15 mins later the party finished, we tidied up the table and asked for the party bags. 30 mins later we are still all standing at the door waiting for party bags.. I asked 4 members of staff for the bags.. numerous times in the 30 mins as we had parents waiting to leave with their kids. Almost 40 mins after being told we couldn't have the cake as another party was booked and had to vacate the table, it still sat empty, so there was plenty of time for cake. Once we finally received the gift bags, the contents were not even, some bags had 2 of one thing and none of something else .. I then had to ask about the war UV paint that was paid for but never received and the special birthday card with 1000 arcade tickets and voucher, i was told no refunds but got an arcade card with a bit extra as compensation and we did end up finally getting the card with the voucher.. we left more stressed that we were when we arrived and although all of the staff were extremely polite it felt very much like they were just trying to smile and move on because we were still having to constantly chase them. We paid alot of money for this party only to leave with all of the kids feeling deflated. Will not book another party here and will not recommend to anyone.I don't actually mind that there is a no refunds policy .. however I expect to get what I pay for and expected far better service, given this fact!

Recently had my son's birthday party here and would not recommend. It was completely disorganised. We were asked to stay on one table (there were two smaller tables next to the main table) despite there not being enough room for all the children I booked and paid for to have space on the main table, meaning that the group was split up.The food was terrible, which we had to serve, we then had to ask them to clean it up and for ice cream to come out. Had to request the cake, they then took an age to cut it so people were hanging about waiting for a party bag....half way through cutting the cake I was asked if we wanted the 'laser station' party bags which weren't ready - and given half the kids had already left there wasn't much point in those still hanging around waiting even longer to get.A real disappointment. The kids enjoyed it but I found it to be stressful, disorganised and bad value for money.

My son comes all the time to laser station and has done since openedNot been for a while went today with friends to be told card only ! Like to add place empty ao turning away business as card onlyBut can use cash in arcade areaWhat sorta parent would give their kid a bank card when full eh arcades(told by staff member Kerry not their responsibility)So gamle aware rc is no existing of under 18 (kids could easily become addicted)I booked on line but thibk this is ridiculous and the fact can pay cash at arcades.....Also where on website does it say card only ????We wont be back

Purchased 20 tickets with 3 games each for an event, used 10 then was told not to worry and that we could use the remaining 10 tickets anytime for the next 12 months but tried to use them a month later and was told they are useless.
