Shimmi Shake Dance Studio

My daughter loves Shimmi Shake. She started off very nervous but Sue and the rest of the team helped her to feel confident and happy in two classes she attends (ballet and street). After just 4 months my 4 year old daughter has just finished her 1st dance show with Shimmi Shake and I can truly say she loved every moment of it and was really sad when the show was over....she wanted to dance on stage over and over again. She now wants to do more dancing so we plan to start her on tap classes as soon as possible. I would highly recommend this dance school to all x

My daughter is now 15 and she has been dancing with Shimmi since the age of 3, to say she loves it is an understatement! Dancing is her passion and she has absolutely flourished being a member of the Shimmi family! Would highly recommend Shimmi ❤️❤️

My children absolutely love shimmi shake. It's the highlight of their week. They recently preformed in the dance show and loved it! I moved in Bromley nearly one year ago. I never thought that I would find such a great dance school (with a history of ~30yrs) near to where I live. Really pleased that I found Shimmi Shake for my 3 year old daughter. Professional and lovely teachers with great results on their students. The show was held last week and it was absolutely amazing and rewarding to watch (including my daughter’s perfomance ☺️). My daughter loves it and loved the show too-she wants to do it again! I would recommend Shimmi Shake to parents.

I have danced at Shimmi since the age of 3 years old and I can honestly say they were some of the best years of my life. You are pushed (in a very positive way) to achieve your fullest and progress so much both personally and professionally. I ended up taking my teaching exams and taught whilst also taking my own classes. My daughter is also currently at Shimmi Shake (aged 5) and loves to perform each week. The family feel is what makes Shimmi so special, and why it will always hold a very special place with me.Thank you for everything you have done for me over the years.

My daughter has been attending Shimmi Shake for the last 3 years (including virtual classes during lockdown). We love it. Such a friendly, and inclusive place, with fabulous teachers.My daughter participated in the recent huge dance show. It was amazing , such a feast for the eyes, so well organised, great venue and such fun for all the kids and parents alike. My daughter is so shy but Sue and the team have really helped her increase her confidence and maybe I’m biased but she smashed it at the show. Thank-you Shimmi Shake.

My daughter absolutely loves dancing at Shimmi Shake! She started dancing later than lots of the girls, but with the help of the lovely team, passed all of her dance exams along with the rest of her peers. She’s enjoyed taking part in the fantastic shows they create! It’s been so lovely to see her dance skills blossom.

Shimmy Shake is a dance school that helped my daughter with building her confidence, enjoying dance, not be scared of loud music, team work and much more. She loves it and that says all. They had an amazing show and we couldn't be more proud! Great work!

We went to Mrs. Susan's ballet and dancing classes in summer 2023. Our daughter, at that time was between 1 1/2 and 2 years old. She loved the classes and we didn't miss one of them.Mrs. Susan is a great dancing teacher. She combines elements of classic ballet with street dance and musical dances. This keeps the kids' attention at all times. Mrs. Susan also includes some stretching and warming up exercises, which our daughter enjoyed as well. Something we appreciated about the way Mrs. Susan taught was a very healthy portion of seriousness as you will find it in ballet. We found that extremely valuable and healthy for our daughter. This doesn't mean at all that the classes were lacking fun and laughter. Kids simply loved it. We will continue the classes once they start again. If we had to rate the classes it would be a 10 out of 10! As a side note, Mrs. Susan's mother was always at all classes and supported during dancing exercises for instance by giving high 5s to the kids.Thanks!Vera and Oliver Matovu
