This is the second time we have eaten here , the first time the food was lovely ,really tasty and good choice of options on menu. We ate here again on Monday and found the food awful , the menu was not as varied as before and the burgers we ordered were tasteless and tough also the brioche buns were soggy and the chips half cooked the onion rings batter were far to thick and greasy. Staff lovely and friendly but definitely need a new chef .

Outstanding accommodating very friendly staff. Food is so delicious, tasty local produce, cooked to perfection. Lovely setting and ambience with a real log fire. With gins and whiskies galore. Will be returning soon.

Farquharsons Bar and Kitchen
Everything was so good here! We got fish and chips, the soup of the day, sausages, and honey cake for dessert and all of it was amazing. So far this is the best meal we’ve had since visiting Scotland. Wait staff is also super friendly and the restaurant has a very cozy feel to it! Definitely stop here if you’re passing through Braemar!!

This was a great experience! My dad and I were on a small road trip and walked into one of the first inviting-looking places we could find - despite being fully booked, we were offered a table at the bar or on the low couches 9we chose the latter) and they were very comfortable - all staff are really friendly and the atmosphere was great, with lots of art to look at. Really nice food too, with generous portions and fairly priced.

Lovely dog friendly pub, staff great and food good too. Bit disappointed with the nachos for sharing, lot of crisps and not much fillings. Chicken kebab was lovely and fish and chips pretty good too. Definitely worth a visit ☺️

Really good food served by welcoming friendly staff. Prices were competitively priced for the quality. Music played at a low level. The whole place was extremely clean. Will be back for sure.

We were booked to dine at the Flying Stag across the road but the staff there were so rude we left and walked opposite to Farquharson’s Bar and Kitchen. Kat and the rest of the team were amazing. They warmly welcomed us even though we arrived right on 8.30pm. They gave us exceptional service, delicious food and couldn’t have been friendlier. Kat came and chatted to us after dinner and gave us lots of local tips. We couldn’t have had a better night. We need to thank the Flying Stag pub across street because their haughty, exasperated attitude and filthy dining room made us move onto a better place just across the street which made our stay in Braemar much better.

Fantastic pub and kitchen, we spent a few nights in there Matt is a great guy always friendly and great at recommending some great whiskies. The pub has a great atmosphere, lovely area with some leather sofas next to a wood burner.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
