Really lovely shop, staff were so helpful & friendly.I popped in to get my son fitted for his first shoes & they were wonderful, will definitely be returning when he needs the next size up!

Friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff. We have bought two pairs of baby shoes here now and the staff always go out of their way to make sure the shoes fit well. We will definitely be back when our next little one needs shoes!

Stompers are a fantastastic shoe shop. The staff are lovely, always polite and brilliant with the children. We have 4 daughters and have been going there since our eldest was tiny- she's 17 now. Their range is great and the very few times we have had to ask for an exchange, they have been excellent- particularly as any exchanges have been as a result of my youngest's mishaps! Would thoroughly recommend.

Bought school shoes from here yesterday. A lovely lady served us who was very helpful. Measured our sons feet and although has adults sizing has slim feet. Adult men's sizes slip off his heals. Lady brought down several pairs his size. Although they were adults length some were still child's for narrow width. The lady was very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely knew what she was doing. Very friendly service will definitely be going back. Adults shoes and boots also look really nice. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Our 22 month old son has massive feet! Size 8, H in width. We had been to a couple of other shops but usually they didn't have anything in his size, or what they had just wasn't nice. Any way we went in here and the lady was ever so good. She was very friendly and was really good with Jared. Because of his wide feet she offered to bring down what she had in his size rather than us wasting time looking at things that would never fit. She came down with 4 different types. All were really nice and we would have been happy with any. We ended up choosing the first pair that had a really soft leather and flexible sole.Again the lady was so good. Fitting his shoes with confidence and talking to Jared and showing us she really cared about what was going on his feet, and not just tryinvg2to sell anything.

Visiting family from New Zealand. Took my 9 year old daughter shopping for the day and visited Stompers Shoes. The lady was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, asked lots of questions to help us decide, measured my daughters feet then brought several different styles and colours in the brand she was looking at. We found the perfect pair and both my daughter and I were extremely happy with the service and the product we bought. Would highly recommend.

This is an outstandingly good shoe shop. We have been buying my son's shoes there since he was virtually a toddler, and are still doing so now he's 16. The shoes have always been very good, the service friendly (always remembering who we are), and the care taken in fitting exemplary.

Bought several pairs of shoes from here for my 3 children over the years. Amazing professional service and the the best shoes very nicely fitted. The lady always remembers our kids names and what they’re up to. Can’t recommend Stompers highly enough!

We travel over 2 hours every year to get fitted out with new school shoes. They know what they are doing, they only sell qualities and give fast direct service.

We have often visited this lovely shop in the past and been served by the owner. The owner is kind, patient and caring and we’ve always come away happy. Yesterday however (7/4/2023) the woman who served us (dark hair with a fringe) could not have been less helpful or welcoming. We were the only customers in the shop, so it wasn’t as if she was busy or rushed. She seemed exasperated that she had to go and get several boxes of shoes for my little girl (wide feet, high instep), and was downright rude when my little girl was having trouble choosing which shoes she liked best. I don’t know why Stompers has chosen to employ someone who clearly doesn’t enjoy her job and makes people feel uncomfortable. She couldn’t wait to get us out of the shop, even though we were the only people in there. We won’t return to Stompers again if this woman is there as she made the whole process stressful and rushed. Such a shame when the owner is so lovely.
