Cowshed

I came here to shop for new moisturisers and sunscreen for my face. The shop was well laid out with a good ambience. The shop assistant was friendly, attentive and helpful. I asked for non-comedogenic products because I have sensitive skin and break out easily, and was recommended the products in the photo attached by a therapist.I've been trying 'Neville' (which in in the men's range) for the last 3 week. and I can say I'm very happy with the product. It keeps my skin silky smooth, plump with no breakouts for me. I haven't tried the other 2 products yet. I would highly recommend Cowshed because I feel the assistant and therapist at this branch tried to understand my requirements and skin type which produced good results for me.Edit: the 'Replenishing Face Oil' in the photo should be 'Replenishing Face *Serum*' (the oil is not non-comedogenic I understand!). I went back to Cowshed to exchange the purchase once I realised I was given the incorrect product. The assistant at the front desk was helpful and fixed this for me promptly.

Unfortunately, my visit left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the overallThe moment I walked in, I was greeted by a receptionist who was anything but friendly. A warm and welcoming reception is the first step towards a pleasant spa experience, and it was sorely lacking in this case.The massage therapist did not display the level of professionalism I expected. What was even more concerning was that when I got back home, I realized there was still scrub cream residue left on my face, which should have been thoroughly removed during the treatment. This negligence in cleanliness and attention to detail is not acceptable for a spa of any reputation.

I had the most beautiful day here I had a full body scrub and full body oil massage with Peter he has the perfect pressure and I felt like I had new skin and was taller after 10/10 recommend him and a fabulous facial with Loukia she was so knowledgeable about skin and gave me some great advice and my skin looks and feels amazing already had compliments Thank you all see you soon

I arrived for a facial appointment on Thursday afternoon and was made to wait an hour only to be told it couldn’t be done due. I had wasted time, energy and money on parking to leave empty handed. The assistant manager didn’t offer any products as compensation. Furthermore she said she would call yesterday to arrange an alternative appointment which also never happened. Very disappointed to say the least.

Always have a great experience here, best pedicure I’ve found and I’ve been coming to this branch since it opened.A particular shoutout to Esme who is incredible, kind and goes above and beyond for people. She was the perfect tonic to a tough week last Friday and on top of that gives the best pedi.

Really lush salon. I've had a lot of massages in my life, went here for a pregnancy massage and it was objectively one of the best I've ever had, even when not pregnant. They actually have special beds for pregnant women since you are not allowed to lie flat on your back, it was honestly an amazing experience. Went here as a Christmas present and it was so good I asked for another massage for my mother's Day present. Can't wait to go back.

I had a gift card to use and treated myself to a signature facial and gel peel. It was so good!I had to come beforehand to get a patch test, which certifies to the specialist that my skin won’t react negatively to the treatment. That went well, so on the day I arrived ready for the treatment, but was told that my patch was for dye and asked whether I’d like to opt for another add-on as I wouldn’t be able to get a gel peel. I was ticked off to say the least, and said I’d be willing to take the risk and get a gel peel regardless of whether or not my skin had been tested beforehand.That blip aside, I had a blast with the specialist. She was so kind to my skin & explained the entire process the whole way through. She also treated me to a hand and scalp massage, in addition to my facial. And wrote me up a prescription (aka step by step skincare guide for morning and night time) for me to take home.

Short review:In general this is an expensive place that gives off a vibe of being cosy with promised high-quality service, but fails to deliver this promise. Many of the staff lacked warmth and friendliness.Long review:I have been to Cowshed three times.The first two experiences were OK! The first one was a 45 minute massage. It was good and the therapist was nice. So, before I left, I booked another appointment but this time for manicure and pedicure with two nail technicians. I went there for the second time. The nail technicians were nice but I wouldn’t call the service one of the best experience as I have had more luxurious nail service in other places for less price. The rest of the staff and the receptionist could not provide a nice welcoming attitude.I went back for the third time…. not sure why! I had a Cowshed gel manicure service. To summarize it: I left with lumpy gel nails that started having cracks on the surface only after one week! I was gonna say something to the technician but I really didn’t think she was good as I kept pointing out at the dry skin around the nails to remove them several times. Also, I should mention there was a gel color dry on my finger tips which I didn’t notice until I left! She didn’t even check her work.The booking experience was not easy. The system didn’t allow me to book the manicure and pedicure services at the same time. I tried calling the reception on several different days to request that but no body answered the phone. I emailed them, they replied with no availability and no options for other days to choose from.I personally believe that customer experience is important. The way you’re treated in a certain business, the quality of the service and the booking system are all equally important.If you’re willing to spend your money on luxury I suggest you find another place where at least you’re welcomed in a better way!

Very disappointing birthday treat. Basic and overpriced, much better out there. Worst massages my daughter and I have ever had. Manager wasn’t interested when we fedback. Gave us a discount in the end reluctantly.

A really comfy and cozy place in the heart of a cute neighbourhood. I had the massage today, which was absolutely fabulous and comes with a complimentary hot beverage. The room temperature was warm, and I had my choice of scented oil.The only downside was that the treatment was downstairs. (Yes, London loves its basements). As such during my treatment I heard the constant stomping of either moving chairs and people walking upstairs. That was the reason I did not give this place 5 stars.
